Really i wouldn't use any nutes until the third set of leaves.
If you dump nutes on them too soon,it will burn the plant.
Water with ph'd water ( 6.8 - 7.0 ) ,until you see the third set of leaves then mix your nutes at one quarter strength for the first week.
Then work your way up to the recomended dosage uping the dosage every time you water until you reach the recomended dosage. Flush your plants with a gallon of fresh water and wait for the third set of leaves. make sure you have good drainage on your pots.....you don't want to over water . water when the soil gets dry about an inch on the surface. remember wait on those leaves...
Then start your nutrient regiment hope this helps

Yeah you can get a ph tester at WAL-MART over by the fish aquariums. this will test your water but not the soil. that will take a meter .you can test the runoff which is the water that runs out of the bottom of your pot when you water, but you need to flush your pot with a couple gallons of ph adjusted water.I need to know what type of soil you are using?

You need a WIDE RANGE PH TEST KIT... Lots of the ones they sell for aquariums start at 6.0 and go up. Make sure you get a wide range kit.
This one works well:

Description: Hagen Test Kit - pH Wide Range

Features: 4.5-9.0 Ph Ranges

Try to put it into a 6 or 8 inch pot as soon as possible. use some quality poting soil with nutrients. such as miracle gro this will feed your plant for at least two months

Never heard that ,not in the past 25 years anyway. you are only using the nutes in the soil in the pot.when these are depleated you will start using nutes of your choice so don't worry be happy....lol....I've tried to grow with miracle grow [ liquid that is] and all I managed to do was burn up my babies..R.I.P>>>>the miracle gro soil is ok to start but when your plants get a little bigger you will need some quality nutes . the plants are constantly getting rid of everything they come in contact with so don't worry about cancer from miracle gro,You can get that just about anywhere......lol....

Ahaha my bad guys! Auto's right a lot too stoned.. if there is a such thing! But yeah i went to take a pic and my damn camera's dead! And of course when i need batteries i run the hell out :wall: I'll post pics tomorrow morning when i can get sum batteries. I was using spring water up until about 3 days ago then i switched to reg. tap water. I let it sit for about a week but im too sure what the ph is so im going to check it tomorrow (have to get a ph tester). I am using miracle grow soil but only my lil ones are doing this, the biggest plant i have is in miracle grow and it's doing fine.. She's (hopefully!) about 2 feet tall. If there's any other info i can share to figure out my problem i will gladly reply back with a response. Also im new to growing, this is my first grow. So i dont really know everything yet. Im sure once i get my first grow finished i'll figure it all out and hopefully put some of my knowledge that i've learned back into this site. Thanks for reading!:leaf:
