The top looks ready to go...

Hey I am a first time grower. Not using anything fancy just cfls a closet and a fan. The shorter one is purple kush, the taller is grandaddy. The top of the purple kush looks ready to harvest, but the rest of the plant does not. Advice on this, or the overall harvesting process would be appreciated. (they have been flowering for a month and a half.)

give it 2 more weeks for a start, and yes you can chop the main cola when you want and lower hte lights and contonue to flower the bottom half for another week or so

Another question... Is it possible to just harvest the top? Any advice on flushing the plant before harvest?

Ok I am just worried about damaging the plant, should I harvest it by chopping off the main cola or kind of picking it away from the main stem?

relax mate your at least 2 weeks from harvest then id run 5-7 days of flushing with just normal tap water. then chop the main stem off, lower the lights and your done

I have been reading that I should start flushing the plants two weeks out to harvest. So basically for flushing...What do I need to do?

give her more time. you can clip buds as you want. some plants finish with buds ripening at different times. but i would give the whole thing more tme a month and a half is not enough. it will tastes green, less weight, and less thc. those buds will probably swell the next couple of weeks.

Like I understand the general concept, but how often? And how long of a complete dry spy should I have before I completely harvest the plants?

^(for flushing).. I am definitley going to give them both about two weeks at least. I am just trying to make sure I have all my bases covered. And the only nutes my plants got really were whatever was in the soil.
