Ok quick into I've just started read far 2 much on growing and its now starting to really confuse me. I'm growing 1 plant in a small cupboard and have painted it all Matt white, the strain I have gone for it galaxy and mix of northan lights and Afghan, if it helps its an indica strain. I've got more width than height and depth so I'm going to be trying the bending technique to make it long and use as much of the space as possible. I'll also be trying the super crop technique to try and put as many buds on the little arms!!

List of my set up:
2, 40w CFL, blue
2, small desk fans
Biobizz nutrients, bio-grow, bio-bloom and top max
50/50 perlite/coco coir

I've already started and she has just sprouted out the top I'm not sure of when to start nutrients surely not until she puts out her 3rd lot of leaves, but I still won't know how much to mix and weather using coco changes things? I can't find hardly anything on biobizz nutes??

More questions:
What's the best temp to keep on?
Will it stop growing when I put her to flower?
How to get as many buds and as dense as possible?
How close to put the light?
Annyyyyy tipppppssssssss?

In the beginning of growing you want the humidity to be about 80%. Temperature right around 78 to 82 degrees. You're using CFL's, you can put the light very close, within an inch from the tips. I'm not familiar with you're bending technique of growing. Honestly I think this would put a lot of stress on the plant. Stress increases your chances of getting males. Just think about giving your plant optimum conditions, that way you get good buds. Growing plants in so-so conditions just seems like a waste of time.

Liquid Seaweed/Kelp extract makes for very dense buds and
makes roots grow faster, healthy and strong.

Ferts are not needed for the first 30 days in my opinion, only if something major comes up
temps like mentioned above, 75-80 degrees
Humidity for veg around 60%-80% then in flower 30%-40%
usually it will grow 2-3 times bigger once in flower
dense buds requires really good lighting
cfl's can be as close as an inch, others you might read on the lighting forum link

This is a great guide to read through here https://www.rollitup.org/newbie-central/937-how-grow-marijuana.html

Awesome super helpful guys!!! How is the best way to track your humidity? And when you say 2-3 Times bigger is that filling out or upwards because height I really lack? And having 2 40w lights is that enough for some nice buds Considering its1 plant?

Coco has no nutritional value so you are going to have to start feeding after 5 days or so,iv never used biobizz but i would start with a quarter strength of what it says on the bottle & work your way up.

Best way to track your humidity is to buy a cheap hygrometer. Im in the UK & they cost me £10 so im guessing it will you 10-15 dollars.

80w of cfl is not going to yield that much, maybe an oz? Idk, others can advise you better than me on that, iv never flowered under cfl. It will stretch in height when it go's into flower, have you thought about using LST? Have a look around for diarys on micro grows & it'll give you some ideas.

All the best

Pretty obvious you do not have a clue what you are talking about, 80% .... give me a break. Mold will grow on the walls.

You're not even familiar with the "bending technique" but in your opinion it's stressful to the plant. You base this expert opinion on what?????

Once a plant has sprouted you cannot change the sex except under controlled circumstances (ie: You can cause a female plant to throw male flowers with C/S).
The plant is either Male or Female & no amount of "bending techniques" can ever change that.

Not sure why you have to be so hasty with your response. FYI, he/she is just starting out the grow. So yes, In my expert opinion 80% percent humidity is what he/she should be striving for in the beginning. I agree with you that mold will form, only if he/she is not exhausting the air out of the growing area. Air movement is quite crucial. As far as the "bending technique", I'm not familiar with bending the plant the entire grow. In the past I've bent branches to keep them from hitting the lights. I'm a conventional grower, I try to do everything simple. As far as stress in my expert opinion, I base this on about 50-60 harvests I've had in the past. I've stressed plants in the past and like always the plants seems to think they're dying, which in turn they stop producing bud and start producing seeds. That is my expert opinion and I certainly have every clue to what I'm talking about. I'm not a professional grower with all the answers and solutions. But I certainly can honestly say I know what I'm talking about most of the time. But I really appreciate the fact that you wanted me to be more detailed with my other post. Next time, you think I'm just blowing smoke, let me know and I'll explain.

GWN, I'm so glad you've brought this up, although it's a slight tangent, and I did not intend to hijack, but here seems like a great place to mention this. It was my understanding that sex of cannabis is not pre-determined, and that stress, nutrients and light can be a factor. I am no expert grower but have been at it for decades casually. I have had either exceptionally good fortune in that I have NEVER grown a male, or my TLC did what the urban legend claimed it would. There is so much superstition involved in our endeavor, and it is difficult to either prove or debunk much of it. I find it uncanny that my plants, totaling a dozen in 30 years, have all been girls.

Where did you get the seeds ?

Old school brick Colombian red for all but two recent grows. A quality bud had a single seed in it, and that seed bore a girl I harvested in October. Amazingly, this plant yielded a single mature seed! I didn't know that was possible. Technically, I suppose they were both herm, but with only one seed, and top quality potency, that hardly counts. How does seed source influence sex?
