The VO Grow #2

Honestly.. is it the strain or the lack of conditions in which it needs to grow?

Combination more than likely.. I feel I explained it the best in the newest video which I'm uploading.. currently.. I'm expecting it to take anywhere from thirty minutes to an hour and a half.

Well my buds came out less than ideal, so I feel ya there. I just had WAY to many leaves on my buds. Then they dont even look like headie buds (small hydro christmas trees of perfection is what I was hoping for)... they're just... not up to the standards. *SIGH*.

They are drying now (almost done, but they are back home (doing the family christmas thing... 200+ miles away from home =/)

They've been drying for 4 days with a box fan on them on 'low' hanging upside down. Ill jar/burp them at day 6/7 of dry.

I was just speaking for the look of the wet buds and the quality/details of the quick-dry stuff Ive had. I quickdried in a brown paper bag and let it sit on my ballast and/or the defroster in my car for 2-3 hours. Crisped them right up~! I wish I could post pics of them, currently dont have any, but they look FUNKY AS SHIT!

lol I think you'll find when you dry and cure properly the buds will seemingly "condense," but it's just shrinkage as water leaves plant matter.

New camera.. oh yeah and I'll do pictures next time too.

Gunna have to check the ph again tomorrow.. the first swing is always the weirdest with these organics.. oh yeah and ordering meta-k and microblast as well..

I don't expect these girls to bounce back right away, although BC1 looks like she might be finally recovering where as BC2 is just going into another deficiency, and with further inspection it seems to be phosphorous..

Once you've had success with DWC it's hard to back.. The only motivation I have to grow soil is outdoors.

It might be slow dealing with problems, but everything is. The screw up is on me, not DWC or the strain.

And the advantages are?
I originally subscribed to this thread hoping to see the benefits of DWC over soil as im thinking of making the switch, but i just haven't seen them yet. nothing personal.

yea i've read through it before. IDK, i guess im not convinced because IMO you could have had tighter nodes and they ended up being male so it's hard to tell what the bud's would have looked like. I'm sticking around, don't get me wrong, just not convinced yet.... and i still have half a bag of FFOF to get rid of ;)

lol thanks GB.. if these plants don't perk up I'll cut my losses and go to synthetics, if that doesn't work then it's back to my roots in soil

I went to soil after starting out in coco and then going to DWC. To tell you guys the truth I have not noticed much of a difference apart from the rapid growth in veg for DWC (when its all running perfect!!!).... So yeah... I'm in soil atm and apart from a Nitrogen deficiency that happens to me EVERY BLOODY TIME I START FLOWERING its better than my DWC that I ran a few months back... I like how the soil is so hassle free. DWC is really cool though.

That's kind of how i feel, it took awhile for my plant to veg with soil but i have had almost zero issues and this is my very first grow, check it out if you want, the link is in my sig. The buds are pretty frostty

Yeah I'll check it out.. Also once plants are damaged (or you have any type of growth slowing issue) they have to recover, and even after that they have a very hard time doing so. I'm getting at that VO Grow #2 is pretty much a failure, so we can count on VO Grow #3 to be non-organic and starting soon..
