I have a 10pack of pandoras box. Their old and they weren't stored the best. I want to pop them to see. Sub choose a male from each of the parents lines, so obviously it should be a super dank cross. I just don't hear/heard much about it.

What's up nerds just got done planting some rooted cuttings into dirt... got a question for you all... since I started working on getting better at cloning I cut the leaf tips off like you generally hear said to do... lately i've seen some vids of people cloning without taking the tips off (i think even saw some of sub's cuts this way maybe i'm confused )... so anyway i didn't cut'em this time... i'm finding my success rate so far is about the same if not better (tho i'm still waiting on quite a few to root... i've already had 4/5 of one strain and 3/6 of another root well). I didn't have any extra yellowing, any wilting/moisture issues, and I now have a bunch of planted, rooted cuttings with all intact leaves that can grow and get bigger right away instead of stuck the same size. I'm thinking unless I have a lot more failures than expected i'm probably gonna stop cutting the tips off...
So whose in the cut the tips camp and who isn't?? sub?
PS -- cuts from super soil plants are the bomb... i never have issues with'em getting too yellow... usually when i just start to see the first lightening or yellowing at a tip it means the cut's rooted or on its way in this case just a bunch of green cuts that could almost be confused for 2 week old seedlings...

reefbongwell, i cut my leaves down for two reason. To conserve space when i'm taking lots of cuttings. I don't want to have the leafs overlapping which creates moisture to develop. and helps me fix them much closer together. Also it helps cut down on transpiration so they wont dry out as fast, but i dont think it has that much of an effect. Bottom line helps with space efficiency

if you aren't filling the propagator up i wouldn't bother cutting the tips off. as you said it helps to save space but in my experience they actually root quicker and will enjoy better health if you leave the leaves intact. bottom line is, do what works for you.
