Bought a shirt for my buddy to take delivery. Well, this is it. This is where the rubber meets the road. I've been hearing a lot thangs... I should probably do soil on these but I'm a water culture guy.

I'm watching weed maps TV. Looking at Alien OG, the highest tested THC in the history SC labs testing. California...over 28% THC. 50/50 indica, sativa. Seems like in Southern California everythings called Kush or OG. It's all OG out there.

William Wonder - I've heard some people mention that OG originally stood for Oceanside Grown (don't know if that's BS or not) - which would definitely explain why a lot of what you get in Cali would be called OG. OG - Kush - they can call it shitstorm for all I care. All that matters is the high and the flavor to me. Where I come from the weed you get doesn't even have a name because it's just whatever the fuck you get is what you get.

The Oceanside Grown makes a lot of sense. I've also heard it's related Overgrow. Speaking of Overgrow...I don't know it you guys remember this web site but it was huge. It's really a shame the guys who started and maintained it for the first 4 years weren't compensated. Overgrow should be a multi-million dollar business by now. It had everything, was easy to navigate and had very little adds. It was so good while it lasted.

I was an OG member and it WAS badass. I like RIU quite a bit as well, but OG had several times the traffic/membership easily. Sub was there, i learned to grow organic mainly from reading ~shabang~s grow methods along with a lot of others -- but his grow pics are the only ones I can clearly remember even to this day -- I can still see those beautiful, DEEPLY green (but not that dark super N green) plants that looked *flawless* all the way from veg through flower with no yellowing to the end - his secret: plain old fucking guano and worm castings - nothing fancy at all. That guy had a green thumb. I remember Rez when he got his start in breeding (and the wars over his genetics). Mark Emery was nowhere near the legend he is today then I remember so much bitching about people getting the wrong seeds from his seedbank :) Gypsy Nirvana a regular... it was heady fucking times and as a first time grower once I got the organics down MAN I was high off my ass all the time and lovin' every minute of it. I wish I had the photos and threads from my old grow logs there. Had the photos for a while but those have been lost to time. Miss CannabisWorld too. Brothers Grimm as a breeder was to me then what TGA is to me now -- for one thing, sub delivered Apollo 13 which I always wanted to try back then but never was able to find. Apollo 11 was my jam.

If it wasnt for quality herb I dont know what I would have done,I could take a oxycontin and a loritab that the doc prescribed and it would not do much,mainly just change my head more so but when I smoked 1 bowl I would relax after minutes and feel 10x better,I would sink into my bed and pass out or just relax.After that experience it set in stone to me the medicinal benefits of marijuana. But being 23years old I was really worried about how the rest of my life was going to go with my knee but now that it has been a few years and I am getting somewhere with working out I am feeling alot better about myself now! I still smoke herb regularly and it makes a world of difference. But I have thanked Sub before for talking about his knee problem but thanks again man!!!


And man I remember the days of overgrow, a close member of my family was heavy into the grow scene back then and he spent much much time on overgrow reading and posting. I didnt have a account or nothing but I totaly remember reading through forums and just seeing all the people.I miss those days,seemed like everything was cool back then. Everyone was doing good and pulling some shit. But I know everyone went there separate ways after all the shit happened. Maybe one day we will have such community again! Im diggin overgrow though,I started out on grasscity but got irritated at the kids and dumb newbie answers that plagued the site. I know im not the oldest cat on here but I dont get on here posting retarded stuff either...were here to chat and grow, not talk shit or give false info. just my 2cents.

Yeah I have some seeds and some X's that came from the old stock from overgrow that I got from my family member that use to use them. I also have a mother of I believe it was Meduser but its trainwreck-x-herijuana thats kicks major ass! has a bit of a tolerance build up though so I try not to grow alot of it but its a nice strain,Its more of a TW dom pheno but its nice and potent. The source says he almost remembers it being crossed to a blueberry to somewhere down the line before he got it but you cant really tell it,and he doesnt fully remember, I looked but havent been able to find to much info on it either. The plant grows fuckin wild though kinda viney and super stretchy,you have to tie the buds up in the end or the flop around and hang lol. Top shelf smoke though.Outdoors the buds almost look silver with orange hairs lol.

No, you just don't get it. Original Gangster doesn't have anything to do with the "gangster" part anymore. It did, when the phrase was first coined several decades ago. Back then, it was a term of respect for the previous generations of "made men" in the mob, the ones using the term "OG" were the young, "new school" gang bangers. They wanted to emulate those OGs. That was then.



Over time, OG just became a term for the "original" of anything. So, yes It IS OG Kush = Original Gangster Kush. Not that it really had anything to do with 'gangs' but because it was the "Original Kush". Just forget that G part is even in there, its irrelevant. Just like its irrelevant that OG wasn't the first Kush, or may not even have been a Kush in the first place.


All that matters is that OG, was the first kind to make Kush famous. It was also one of the strains most responsible for making kind bud mainstream.


Before anyone asks, I have no citations for you. This is just from memories of the past 30 years of cannabis history, which for obvious reasons is a bit foggy.


My last bit of evidence is simply this, Ocean grown, or Original green Kush, both sound retarded. Remember that the name is all about sales. So, OFC it is Original Gangster.

Maybe I read this wrong, and No offense, but if you are going to take down videos because of people arguing in the comments, then you might as well stop making them. Either that or disable all comments.


Maybe none of you have noticed, but EVERY video on Youtube has its comments section end up full of shit. Most (smart) people don't even bother reading Youtube comments, its one of the worst places online, you will find better discourse at 4chan.


It is a well known fact online, that a communities average intelligence decreases, as its population increases. This is why sites like Facebook and Youtube are filled with idiots and trolls arguing with each other. Eventually, all forums and the like collapse due to this. Some return to what they were like before their user-base explosion, some don't.



My point is, the time where you could have intelligent discussion on the YT channel is over.

Well i've been up all night and about to crash.. I was tokin on my DQ and thinking about the nug jars i'm gonna order later today before the UFC fight... And inspiration just hit me... so I picked up my guitar and hammered out a rough demo.. Here's my Weed Nerd Song.... I need to do it up right with my lil brother on lead.. He's got a little studio thing going on and is a complete bad ass on guitar...But I'm alot like Dave... enjoy :bigjoint:

OG stand for "ocean grown" his house was on the beach, period end of story i brought the cut from SFV in 97 dubbed OG kush by the breeder of the genetics, has absolutely nothing to do with gangs so tired of this og mistical myth name crap
