Integra nice scrog, whats your setup again? A 600watt? Is it hard to harvest seperate strains!? Im gonna scrog for sure next crop. This time I basicallydid FIM. Seems like the only way to go with a small light. The guides are talking about 1g per watt.
I run dual 600w's above a 3ftx8ft screen. There is a single dwc tub under each light. 3 plants on the left side, 6 small plants on the right. Harvesting different strains is easy as long as you dont have several plants sharing a res like mine. Otherwise you just make sure you can reach the plant you want to harvest and cut of one main branch at a time and start trimming. There will be a vacant spot in the screen until the rtest of the plants are harvested and new ones are put in. If I answered this question wrong or you have any others, feel free to ask.

Thanks, when do you flower? When the screen is almost full seems to make sense. Some of the older guides say as soon as they first hit the screen but thats gotta be bogus.

The future of MMJ for small time growers will close out at some point. Once it becomes mainstream...it will do exactly that....go mainstream in PRODUCTION.

Big nurseries with mega professional equipment will pony up a million bucks to do it right....they will end up with the contracts. Like any industry starting up....the small guy can get his whacks in if he is THERE, but in the end, big business will take over the market. A single large nursery could support thousands and thousands of customers, and cheaply too.

Sad but true I'm afraid. Get your licks in now.

i got a white widow and a white castle both fem. from nirvana also first grow well first known strain grow.... 400w hps for veg. and bloom the hps is more on the red spec. so got two cfls to hit my blue spec. grown hydro....fox farm nutes.....girls are goin on 2 week.... they both are starting really slow kinda worried i am goin to fail.... new to this site i have a journal need some help if anyone don't mind lookin.......... https://www.rollitup.org/grow-journals/306076-nirvana-hydro-fww-fwc.html..... thanx

If you wait for the whole screen to fill out, your plants will usually grow to big for the space. I do it with 6 small clones or 3 medium size plants(18"-22"). Here's shots of my 6 small clones,

this is them day 7 flowering...

and this is them day 25 flowering...

I'll try to get a better angle of the shot when I update my grow tomorrow since the flower strech has pretty much stopped and the screen is filled out real nicely. for another comparison here are the 3 medium plants day 1 flowering...

and at day 36 flowering...

Wow I cant believe how much they filled in with the little plants. Do you know how much your strains stretch growing normally? Your agles are fine for pics except the 3 medium plants, its far away, they look like they fill the screen alot more. I think I'll error on the side of having too much growth just incase.

My plants are pretty average for the stretch. I'd say the larger ones were a little less than doubling in size, and for the small ones, they grow like nuts. I'd say they got to 4x the original size easy. But thats a common phenomenon with flowering barely rooted clones. As far as playing it safe and having to much growth, that can be very bad with a scrog. If a scrog gets overgrown it is very hard to manage, there is almost always poor air circulation, and half of your budsites usually get choked out by ither budsites. This makes it very easy for problems to start, especially bud mold, and makes it very hard for the light to penetrate giving you a lot of fluffy buds, which defeats the entire point of a scrog. Your better off starting of small and figuring out how many plants at what size you need from there. Every strain will be a little different, but for anything besides pure indicas, less is better.

Yeah half my strains are pure indicas, and half are hybrids that go just over double. Is it that hard to do some pruning of the overgrowth? So when a new clone is flipped and rushes to grow before flowering, does it put out flowers or just veg? Just curious cus Ive heard how theyll do that, like for the SOG guys.

I'm not sure what your asking, but when you flip them, they strech like normal and you have to train them into the screen every 2-3 days for the first 3-4 weeks of flower.

I just was talking about the clones that you put in to flower when young, how they make a rush to grow and dont bloom for a while Ive heard? They put on more veg first right?

When immature plants are put into flower they will not flower until they first become mature. In the case of growing 12/12 from seed, the plants will continue to veg until they are mature enough to flower. Clones are usually taken from mature plants and are the same age as the mother plants. As long as they are rooted they should begin to flower straight away.

Gee, I guess that's why an experimental batch I put up this winter outdoors flowered after growing 6 inches....
