So I finaly decided to figure out what all u Americans are complaining about ( no cable lol) damn this is all about some dick company owner that has issues with gay rights?? Why is this all about....... nevermind it's always about his views.

I'm so happy I live in rural canada, man Americans are strange ass people always looking to start wars withing their own communities, so fucked up. Can't yall just get along, no u can't since everyone wants to be right, not happy ;)

But is it not possible that blacks miss out on equal treatment because they refuse to act like equals...they want to be treated not as americans, but as black americans...Which would be fine if the other 60% of blacks in the country weren't robbing people...so you want to be treated differently, but being treated differently doesn't always manifest itself in the best ways.
If a guy walks up to me and says hey, and he is wearing jeans and a shirt without glitter or rhinestones, and he says hello, how are you doing? I will answer with, I am fine how are you...perhaps this guy is black...perhaps he wants to take me out to dinner...It is likely I would say yes...
Let's say the same black man walks up dressed like a hood rat and says," hey momma, You gotta fine ass, wanna sit on my big black dick? I answer by looking at that guy like he is a bug that should be squished, and walking away...
but that same guy dressed nondescriptly and speaking english could have probably gotten some ass...Just like he could get a job, or a loan...It is one thing to be different...it is another to go against social norms just to rail against "the man" that keeps us all down...

All I want to say is that if more people became the exception to the present rule, they could start making new rules and more flattering statistics.

When I go to an interview I dress well and answer questions with English...If you go to a job interview and you keep grabbing your crotch and wearing gang colors and bandannas, and you keep axing people questions, then why would you get hired?
Affirmative action opened a lot of doors that a lot of black people won't walk through for fear of losing their heritage...
If your heritage is only making your life a hard life of drugs, crime, arrests, and disease, then shouldn't today's people make a turn for the better?
I just don't understand the idea that you can act as differently as you want because you are black, but we as whites should treat everyone the same...How do we treat everyone the same, when some people go out of their way to remind us of our differences?

No, your looking at it the way a lot of ppl do, but its not true. Ever since the slaves were free, the system was put into place so that they would always be semi-slaves. It started with share-cropping, then blacks were segregated into their own areas (ghettos), then drugs were brought in, then the welfare system started, which was basically the icing on the cake, the part that finalized it all.. Blacks have and are always put into the position of having to depend on the government to live, either that or crime, which puts them in animal cages anyways and takes away their human rights.

you got that part right, everyone wants to be right. But, our gun laws are alot better than canada, and your guys' sport of choice is hockey. The only thing cancucks have over us is a socialized healthcare system.

Fear causes people to hate things, ignorance and ego's perpetuate these narrow minded views. I have a gay brother , half the crap said by some members on here makes me laugh, not angry because I pitty their views and hope they can see the world for what it is, not how they think it should be based on what other ignorant people have "taught" them.

But you as an individual can change that...don't do what they expect you to do...and perhaps your children can see their father break from the chains he is supposed to carry around...Perhaps when your kids grow up they can have a normal family and normal jobs and normal lives, but the change has to start somewhere...

If I go to my mechanic and tell him what is wrong with my car he doesn't believe me, because how would I, a woman know one way or another...
My husband is no different...He also believes me incapable of being a person just like him...I am somehow different, or less than he is...
I can't be as smart as him, or as strong...
I don't understand that either...I mean he doesn't mistreat me, but most of my feelings get waived on by as female hysteria, or just my womanly feelings that have no basis in fact.

Well they are both people as opposed to a mom and dad..they are parents working together...and I feel it might be the only relationship where 2 people can feel and be treated equally by each other.

I get reverse racism though..people want to do more for me because I am a woman...
I get out of tickets, I get better deals and discounts...so it kind of makes me want to play the girl card more...but I know if I do I will be stuck having only the I'm a girl card to play...There is a point where you have played out your hand...and African Americans hit that point 30 years ago.

It ignited a discussion. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but sometimes they are wrong and it warrants community discussion.

If someone has racist or prejudice views, and uses funds from a business to promote those views, then anyone with a conscience should not support that business.

For example, if Nike used black slave labor to make their products, and funneled their profits into programs that promote their racist beliefs and actively try to deny black people rights, wouldn't you stand up and say that isn't right? And that even though you are not black you cannot support their cause or recommend anyone else to either?
