Considering almost every charitable organization in the world is religious based, I have to disagree.
an what does that have to do with the fact that religion disables humans to expand our understandin on how we got here an where we're goin in the future. lemme tell you a story my mans neil tyson said in a lecture of his. issac newton was to me pretty much the smartest human ever to walk this earth. this dude figured out the laws of motion, the laws of gravity an when he talks about those things in his principa when he talked about them he made no reference to god because he figured the shit out even tho all that credit for that shit was given to god till he figured it out. he figured out how the moon an the earth react to each other because it was a simple problem to solve. same thing with the sun an the earth dude had that down. then he started to look at how the earth an the moon go around the sun an when our orbit gets close to mars there's a tug that happens. then jupiter tugs on us at a certain point so now his problem that was simple becomes complex with all these tugs an he couldnt figure out how it all stays stable. dude just couldnt figure it out so he says for me to sum down his quote he gave the credit to a higher power. ISSAC FUCKIN NEWTON just gave the fuck up an he gave credit to god.

p.s. laplace who was pretty damn smart too came up with a branch of math called perturbation theory which basically made it possible to calculate those small tugs in place with the big tugs. this in fact shows the solar system is stable. he didnt credit it to god cause he figured the shit out! so in this dudes time was round the time that lil guy napoleon was around. an he was way into this kinda shit an after he read laplace's work on how our solar system worked he wanted to meet with him an he asked leplace "what role did god play in the construction an regulation in the heavens?" his reply was i had no need for that hypothesis. the math in perturbation theory wouldnt have been shit to newton. newton fuckin invented calculus cause someone asked him why planets orbit in elliptical shapes an not circles an he couldnt answer it so dude made a whole branch of math in a few months to answer a question. if newton didnt have god on the brain he prolly could have came up with the answer to somethin he couldnt figure out just cause he gave credit to god.

thats what i mean when i say religion handicaps the human race. you can talk about charitable organizations all you want, but that doesnt advance our civilization. its a very good thing that we should all learn but by all of bein nice to each other isnt gonna do shit to advances in what our role in the universe is.

Im just saying.. stop for a second and think hypothetically.. like what if Christians were right all along? I guess well find out soon enough anyways. If the Book of Revelations is true, which it has been so far, I suspect the tribulation and return of Christ could possibly happen in our lifetime.
the way i see it is most dont believe in a god cause there is no proof. thats the main reason. if you're a good person an really dont do shit wrong in your life an god sends those ppl to hell just cause they didnt believe well then send me to hell cause i wouldnt wanna be around a punk ass god that ran shit like that.

Hmmm... what if the bible explains in simple, easy to understand words how we got here and how were gonna leave? I mean the book of Genesis basically outlines the Big Bang theory... and remember, it said that Adam came from earth, which is true scientifically as well if we evolved from single cell organisms... and, science has already confirmed that humans did appear in N. Africa/ Mid east first just like the bible says.. I mean, what if the bible is telling us exactly what happened and all science is doing is just showing how it happened??

i like how you ducked my whole point by all that. lets play this game tho. lets remember the big bang theory is just that a theory. i thought god made adam an put him in the garden of eden? so adam goes from bein the first human to the first single cell organism on the earth? why would god twist his words like that why didnt he just say we came from single cell organisms an evolved. that argument is bullshit no religious person on this earth would say some shit like that. they believe adam an eve were the first humans. also couldnt adam an eve talk considerin a talkin snake convinced the bitch to eat a apple from a forbidden tree? if thats the case why after adam an eve did we devolve as humans to simple grunts an emotional expressions?

where exactly in the bible does it say all humans came from africa? the point i was tryin to make is that if you have god on the brain an give credit to some intelligent design you yourself throw your own intelligence aside. its our curiosity that had us discover anythin an once we stop bein curious an just hand the props to god is when we start to devolve as humans in my eyes cause you have no desire to learn more.

Science explains how it happens, and religion explains why. Remember that.

this is why nobody wants to deal with you cause you cant have a real debate you just do what every religious person does THE BIBLE SAYS IT ALL. which is retarded as hell. science explains how an why. religion is the how an why for a time when they didnt have the science we have. evolve bro.

Did you ever stop and think.. what if religion is right? I mean think about the consequences...
Which religion? What if your christian religion is all made up bullshit and the scientologists have it right. Wouldn't god be even more pissed at you for not only not believing, but believing in a false religion? And actively pushing that on other people? Isn't that far worse?

Nah dude, I believe that science proves the bible true, and vice versa. Most religious ppl could care less about what science says, I do. You have to learn to stop completely discrediting one or the other, what if they are both right. The bible has plenty of mysteries we havent figured out, and so has science. I dont see why people just think it can only be one or the other. Almost everything in the bible can be explained in a scientific way (notice I said almost), and all of those curious things about the world that make you ask why, I think the answer to that is in the bible.

The bible is written in just such a way that everyone thinks it will happen in their lifetime...all the prophecies have been fulfilled in one way or another numerous times..but still, no moon turning to blood and such...
Prophecies are left wide open to interpretation because that is the only way to fool generations upon generations of people.
The Bible is a good way to teach morals and what not, but it can't be read literally, because it is a work of fiction with so many different authors that it has very little continuity. the Bible wasn't even written until everyone that could have possibly met Jesus had died, so...I have a hard time trusting all these different people that didn't even know who they were writing about.

How does science vouch for the Bible...
We know that at one time there was a great flood because texts throughout history from many different places and religions all have a story of a massive flood and one family being saved...but of course in each religion and area it was a different family...
You can see that the Bible is just a story book by reading other story books written around the world at the same time.

Because of dates times people and places. It is one of the most accurate books in existence and being that I am in college LOL more accurate than my text books... ahahahahaha. I even asked my chem professor if he ever had seen an atom... he said no... but you can see the effects of it... so I said it is a faith thing then??? His response was... yea you can look at it that way. Same can be said about prayer and the bible. Just my thoughts and opinion... take it or leave it. Hope you guys have a great day as I am just starting my... wake and toke to get me through the day.

P.S. On the protest issue... I would say most support the current administration her in the US but yet they fail to understand that the Obama administration just gave 1.5 billion in aid to the Muslim brother hood which promotes the killing of homosexuals. Yet all this guy for this company did was voice his opinion on a question he was asked. Also... if they want to boycott... they should stop buying gas made from opec oil... All muslim nations hate homosexuality... atleast here in this country you are free.

You will not get a coherent or cohesive answer. Kaendar is constructing a patchwork cosmogony from a series of contradictory beliefs, but with an undeclared backbone of radical/evangelical Protestantism. Y'know, watch for demons; world is only 6000 years old; build Zion in the USA before the rapture hits ... sort of thing. So to read him have an opinion about science, it's no surprise that it's considerably divorced from reality. Should you ask him to support his claims, he'll post stuff from hardcore fringie websites. cn

Are you trying to say the bible is accurate because of the people and places? Because that is mainly what makes the bible inaccurate...that and a large group of the world leaders at the time sat down and decided that Jesus couldn't be just a man or the pagan people under constantine wouldn't take up with Christianity the way they wanted the people at the time to. That is also why angels have Halos, and all religions holidays just so happen to be on the same days as the older pagan holidays...it is so people could acclimate to the new religion easier...
So just knowing that most of the bible was made up so people would take to it better let's me know that it is all crap.

The Book or Revelations specifically speaks of specific events, worldwide and catastrophic, that are not open to translation. I dont think any asteroids have hit the earth and poisoned all the drinking water since the bible was written. I dont think an earthquake has happened that wiped out a 3rd of the population, I dont think the antichrist has signed any treaty in the middle east ending all wars (that would be one of the greatest events in history).

Like I said, alot of the stuff in the bible can be explained and proven by science... and no neer, the world isnt 6000 years old.. the earth is billions of years old. Those 7 days were not human days, they were 7 days in gods eyes, which probably equals more time than we can realistically count. The human race however, is about 6000 years old. Before humans, there were other animals like neandrethals and such, and before that was dinosaurs, etc. Its not that difficult.
