4 out of the 6 NLs are starting to pop through. I picked up the flat white paint to do the lids with and I'm still debating back and forth with myself about converting the wardrobe or just using the closet one more time. I've also decided to veg under the CFLs for a few weeks while I keep talking myself in and out of getting the 400w hps. Sad thing is...I checked craigslist yesterday and a guy was selling a complete setup 600w hps with euro reflector for 150 OBO. I called and he said he just let it go for 90.00 about an hour before I called him. GAH!

Anyhow, more LR porn for you. Pics of the cat liter dwc buckets coming in the next day or so.

I've started flushing two of my LRs. The other two are roughly a week behind for some reason. I'm suppose to be picking up a nice entertainment center (for free) tomorrow and I think I'm going to setup three areas in it. Veg, Flower and clone. I don't have any pictures of it right now, but it is one of those that has a center doored section that the tv sit on top of....then each side is flanked by doored shelving units. I'll have to get a picture of it tomorrow and layout the plan. I'm scraping the idea of using the wardrobe because I found out it is an antique and I just can't bring myself to do that to it. It's got a 1889 branded stamp on the bottom of it.

Anyhow, that's the updates. This journal area didn't turn out to be for the DWC grow but more for a .... hey it's coming...check out the LRs instead. So, I'll probably start a DWC one once everything is together. Oh, I almost forgot! The NLs have all broken the surface. They are under the CFLs to get a bit more size on them before I move them out of the jiffy pellets and into their hydroton. :snoopydance:

Ok, so I've hooked up all my dwc stuff to test out temps (room and water) and make sure everything seems good to go. Room temp is holding between 76-78 and water temp is right at 71-72. Not real happy with water temp. I'd like to bring it down to about 66-68. I'm testing out frozen pop bottles.

On a different note, I think this girl is getting chopped Sunday. She's 20% amber under microscope (though pic doesn't really show it good). She got her last flush today. Saturday she'll go into a 24 hour dark period....and never wake up.

So um...yeah. I kinda let my impatience get the better of me. I pulled a small nug and used the old quick dry method by turning on the stove..heating up to 170 and turning it off then putting the nug in there on a cookie sheet. She sat in their for a little over an hour. Um...welllllllllllllll...this bitch is definitely getting chopped Sunday. Full blown uplifting head high...but it creeped up on me. I was like...damn this isn't no where near ready. I'm not even feeling......whoa WHOA WHOA! Oh yeah! Taste was slightly harsh (quick drying I suppose)...hardy undertone of earthy flavor. Exhale was very tasty...left me wanting to pluck another nug because I didn't think it was potent enough until something cold tapped me on the shoulder...looked back and it was the floor. Oh yeah. Spent the next 2.5-3 hours geeking at everything.

so you can attribute the heady hi from the quickdry as well as the taste/harshness.

that very same bud you smoked, had it been dried and cured properly would have been a very different and more complete hi.

that said ...if you got hi off a quick dry then your good to chop for sure.

That is awesome that she is ready, if you are going to chop on sunday, you should put her in dark from now till then.

I think I'm going to give her 3 more days and then go darkness on her. I got out my closeup lense adapters for my camera and popped off some 4x and 10x shots. Odd thing is the trichs look clear - cloudy in the pictures. Under a 30x loupe they are cloudy with 20% amber. Could this be a 'flash' issue?

Yeah, I was too tempted and had to pop off a nug. I knew the quick dry method was going to cause a harsh smoke. I wasn't expecting the delayed kick in on the high though.

yea just go by what you see on the jewlers loupe, do those have a light on them? if not be careful what light you use cuz it could potentially change the color of the trich (the way you see it). i would use a cool white cfl.
