thermal paste/thermal tape for LED strip builds

My samsung h strips at 700ma i run no heatsink. Its aluminum angle frame in an H shape. The only part of the strip not in free air is the two ends. I attatched with self tapping screws the the frame. Like in H they would run horizontally accross it.
 
Any recomendations for thermal tape on digikey? Checked them out and it was about 180 for a little roll?!?wtf?
Or any other supplier in the EU-region?
Ideally getting a 30-50mm tape, at least 2 m long.
 
The thermal tape from Amazon works really well. I have 2 of the f-series strips attached to a c1400 driver and crank them up. The heatsinks definitely get warm and you can tell they are doing their job. I just made the tape thr full width of the heatsink even though there is 1/4" of room on either side from the strip and driver
 
Thermal paste and screws mate. Costs me like a dollar for a 100 6xM4 screws and nuts, and I buy the thermal paste by the toothpaste tube size, so it works out to pennies extra.
I don't trust a 500 dollars worth of strips with no glue.

I used Arctic Silver 5 paste on some and others I used Arctic Silver thermal adhesive. The ones with the AS-5 paste, I used dabs of RTV at each of the mounting holes to keep them in place.

The more I think about it, the more I like the idea of paste and dabs of RTV. Easy to remove!

The tape works great, but removal is difficult. On my last build I used dirt cheap ebay paste and attached with zip ties.

I wonder if silicone heat sink compound would hold the strips on?
"The compound won't harden, dry out, or melt. Silicone Heat Sink Compound, Size 3 oz., Color White, Temp. Range -40 Degrees to 500 Degrees F"

I would not count on it. Silicone gels tend to get more "liquidy" when heated.
