Thermometer placement.

Quick Question, I have my thermometer hanging in my room in the middle of 2 lights in direct light. Is this wrong? Should it not be in light (off to the side). I am getting 91 - 93 temps where its hanging and I need to know if that's an accurate reading. Thanks in advance!

A good place to put it is near the top canopy of your plant, this will let you know if its too hot for the plant. If so look into causes, is the room to hot or is my reflector too close. One of those is probably the cause.

Unless you mean a thermostat to control room conditions. In that case no you want it near your exhaust air vent or duct or whatever. This way it senses your temperature you're taking air out at and can compensate.

what he said ^^^^^^^^ i also like to have one hanging high just to give me total room temp with fans blowing on tops its cooling plant pretty good

your temps of 91 to 93 are way to high for most grows so if that is what your temps are you need to try to get them down around 80 or even 75. i use co2 and have mine up at 80 because of the co2 but a normal room should be around 75 with 50% r.h . u probly need to get an a.c unit
