They hate us for our freedoms

I feel that when the officer asked the guy why he has the rifle he should have just answered truthfully instead of the "Does it matter, officer? Am I breaking the law?". A quick answer of "protection from coyotes" would have got this man on his way with his son. The police got a call that some body was running around with a weapon. Police fucking job is to make sure this guy is on the up and up and not some nutcase kidnapping some little boy to rape.
So, on one hand you say his "protection from coyotes" story is lame but you put a "kidnapping some little boy to rape" story in the mind of a cop? Haha... That's pretty creepy - you came you with that bro? Watching alot of Criminal Minds or something?

Impeding a douchebag in performance of his harassing...

24th STS? Big fucking deal, give us your credentials... I highly doubt you were pararescue... Put up proof or shut up - fucking keyboard warrior.
actually now I'm just a laundryman not a keyboard warrior...lol

so he was charged with impeding an officer in performance of official duties...hmmmm I think they have a call from a citizen to back that up..lol...again much easier for fat bald guy to have just told the police what he had the weapon for. "Does it matter, officer? Am I breaking the law?" gets you in the back seat and son crying..lol

I have family and a few military buddies who are law enforcement..Not all are bad.. I myself would try to make there job easier by just telling him why I had the weapon. He said it was for coyotes..He just did not tell the police that..He pretty much told them to fuck off

If you actually are pararescue, I give you props... I honestly think it's sad that someone involved in a challenging occupation, such as pararescue has become such a tool that he would coward down to some fatty hick cop that was obviously just trying to harass a veteran... Did you hear the tone in which the cop first question this man? How the fuck do you know the whole story? You got ESP or something? I feel sorry for you - you are a sell out and probably not half the man you were when you joined pararescue.

Dude they did not start recording until after the cop asked the first question...did you not read the guys comment on youtube...His own words from youtube

At about the 5 mile mark of our hike, a voice behind us asked us to stop and the officer motioned for us to approach him. He got out of his car and met us a few feet later. He asked us what we were doing and I explained that we were hiking for my son's merit badge. He then asked me what I'm doing with the rifle, to which I responded in a calm manner, "Does it matter, officer? Am I breaking the law?"

At that point, the officer grabbed my rifle without warning or indication. He didn't ask for my rifle and he didn't suggest he would take it from me. He simply grabbed it. This startled me and I instantly pulled back - the rifle was attached to me - and I asked what he thought he was doing because he's not taking my rifle. He then pulled his service pistol on me and told me to take my hands off the weapon and move to his car, which I complied with. He then slammed me into the hood of his car and I remembered I had a camera on me (one of the requirements of the hiking merit badge is to document your hikes). This video is the rest of that encounter. Up to this point, I am not told why I am being stopped, why he tried to disarm me, or even that I'm under arrest.

all of that^^^^ happened before the filming..again a simple for protection from wild animals would have gotten that man on his fucking way.

So again, you admit he didn't do anything wrong, but if he kissed your ass (and you were the cop) then you would let him go on his merry way?Why did they have to arrest him? Because he had the nerve to interrupt their Dunkin Donut time? So he took 5 minutes out of the day of this cop - big deal. Lets be honest, it was an ego contest and the cop won - plain and simple. Everyone is tough with a badge and a gun.

No, but I distrust all cops until they prove themselves better than the average bear... Respect is earned, not given... Like you... I don't agree with your mindset but I respect you as once being a bad MOFO if you did what you say you did - I just kinda feel pity for you and the way you think now :/

ummmm when did I admit he did nothing wrong ???? up to a jury or judge to decide that..lol....I say this could have been avoided by answering the officers questions that was investigating a call by another citizen.

What makes me a bad MOFO is being a great father and husband

Again, that may or may not be true... Perhaps the cop was driving by and decided he wanted to be billy bad ass cause his wife was bitching at him and he needed to share his misery with someone else - I guess a jury will decide that. But I'm happy to send the guy a couple of bucks for his legal fight.

I notice "American" isn't in that sentence. Are you saying it is better to live as a slave then die as a free man? Perhaps this guy thinks otherwise :/

Nothing... I just noticed you didn't say "great father, husband, and American" you said, "great father and husband"... I would just figure someone like you who spent his life to protect his country, might have a little patriotism left - maybe a little feeling of pride. I didn't realize you just did what you did for a paycheck - nothing wrong with that but it shows why you think one should be passive and kiss a cops ass :/

WTF ... Being American don't make anyone bad MOFO..we got a lot of punk, paranoid, idiots that are Americans. Me being a great father and husband. Taking care of mine and doing whats right by them makes me one bad MOFO. Show me a man who is taking care of his kids, putting them through college, showing them love and right the way ,whilst loving and caring for his wife..well let him be American,Mexican or German.. that be a bad MOFO.

cops are there to enforce the law not make it up in order to create a crime due to ignorance and negligence

it is illegal for an officer to harass without provocation unless in order to prevent stop or inhibit a crime, and there was no crime

lets not trivialize our laws cause some bad apples do just that, its illogical

and its illegal, but like i said cops wanting to be law abiding is not the norm as they know they can get away with it, jsut like most repeat criminals . . they assume they wont get caught or dont care if they do

not the kind of role model we as citizens need as LAW ENFORCEMENT

America needs confidence in their LEO not fear

besides he was just a city gang official ,only real cops are sheriffs, fed mandated law officers vs cities creating gangs with badges

I say he was taking care of his kid - he was probably trying to show him that dad was a war hero and shouldn't let some fat cop push him around. Did you notice he wore his rank on their little hike?

Just because you don't care about your country the way he does, doesn't make you right and him wrong. I hope you only have daughters - either that or went something happens with a cop, u'll show your son what being metro-sexual is all about.
