THEY HAVE HERMIED!! Don't know what to do?!?!?

ok I am seriously heartbroken right now and it's hard to even type this but here it goes. I had 8 WW and 1 PK plant growing in my tent. Today is the start of week 4 of flowering. I did not notice until now that one of the WW had hermied and formed the dreaded bananas and I was to late a cluster had already burst and pollinated every one of my other plants. They all have seed sacks forming now. I don't know what to do? Can someone please tell me whether I should keep feeding them and finish out the last 4 weeks or just say screw it and chop them all down. Will they only grow seeds now and stop any further bud growth? What do I do? Someone please help me I'm so distraut and sick to my stomach about this. I tried so hard and everything looked so good. PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!

Hahaha. It's not that easy. I don't know a whole lot about this type of thing as this is only my second grow total first grow indoors but I do know it's not a win win bro. It's definitely a loss in just trying to figure out to what extent the loss is. Seeds bring less bud, lower quality bud, and the obvious pain in the ass when trying to break it up. Not to mention if you sell someone a gram and they break it up and there's 4-5 seeds in it they not gonna be to happy. I just wanna know if I should chop them down now and harvest what I have or let them keep growing.. GLASS IS MOST DEFINITELY HALF EMPTY!! Maybe fully empty

ok the truth is it does not turn out lower quality bud at all who ever told u that is full of shit lol yes u will lose some bud from seed but thats it ditch the seeds as they will have the hermie trait if anything grow it out and if u dont want to push seeds out to smoke it just make hash or butter again a full cup ;)

what do u think seed farmers do with there seedy weed just throw it away ???

Actually it is true seeded pot will have less THC as plants are actually only trying to make seeds lol Mexican brick weed ring a bell low THC cause its full of seeds now take a fem mexican same strain it will have higher THC


To the op grow them out if you want personally i would axe it all now and smoke it what ever but yeah stay away from the hermie / nanner plants there good for fuck all ..
Also you best before you put new plants in scrub that place down big time cause any pollen kicking around will hammer the next plants i herd a guy going like 3 grows and getting it every time cause of it

Two tips.
One, if theres male parts, pinch them off, and make sure you take them daily.all.
Second. Water decomissions pollen. Drop nanners into water and dont feel badly if you spray all the walls with bleach water. Spray plants with any water diluted foliar or insecticide to neutralize pollen.

Yea man don't cut it. It will still mature and put on weight. Maybe not as much but i promise you if they were going to be good bud they will still be good bud. DON'T CHOP

It really is a win win Who cares if you don't know much about it. That's why it's still a win. You will have so much trial and error. This way you can atleast learn what the hermies actually look like, how long it takes the seed pod to burst and what you do diff.

You can sell the bud cheaper per gram since it's seeded. You can deseed the whole thing and make hash out of it. I've never breeded and pollinated mine, but pretty sure you have a cross strain now, WW & PK. If so the new plants will be diff color, potency, and more adapt to the growing enviorment. If not, then atleast your have another supply of seed!!!

Yep I still got rid of my bud same price even though it had bananas in it . People who don't grow don't have a clue what bananas look like or what it actually is . They never brought it back saying it wasn't any good either so just carry on like they say and try pull out what you can carefully till the end. I felt the same as you when it happened to me before I was heart broken an thought it would be fit for nothing but the bin but I carried on and all was fine . Try work out what you did to make it happen like check for light leaks etc so next time you won't get the same problem . Research the strain and see I it's turned herm on many others also

Hey marky mark this is a huge relief!! I was so terrified and crushed that all my hard work, dedication, and commitment and countless hours had just been for nothing because of a silly preventable mistake. Not to mention all the money I invested to start the op. But you are positive that they will still mature and grow a little bigger even though they will be producing seeds as well?? So I should continue on with my nutrient feelings and all that as normal? Thank you so much for this man it really just lifted the weight of the world off my chest. I can't thank you enough!!!!! Your great

Thank you so much for this!! You put my heart back together a little.. LMAO.. But hey quick question? What exactly is a light leak and what does it refer to? That may be a really stupid question I just wanna make sure I fully understand it. Letting light out when the lights are on? Light getting in when lights are off? What exactly ???

If you were standing out side of your grow closet, box, tent etc. and you see light coming out from a corner, under or above a door etc.. then you have a light leak. This is the same if you were standing in it during light off and seeing light come in the room.

In flowering there on 12/12. Any light that gets into your flowering room during light's off can have a powerful affect, such as your hermies. Too much light disturbance during the light off cycle can also revert the plant back into veg. Some growers do this on purpose. Look up re-vegging or light cycle revert.

Keep all light out of your grow during lights off! There is a certain color coated bulb, or maybe it's a certain spectrum, but this color does not disturbed the plant due to it being the color they reflect instead of soak up, vis versa maybe. Im no scientist.

What about when I'm working in the tent during lights on? Is it ok to leave the doors open and unzipped for an hour or so while I'm pruning, feeding, watering, ETC..??? Will it hurt the ladies to have the tent open during lights on?

Get rid of the hermie plant, no ifs ands or buts. If it's just a few pods that went off then you'll be okay. A few seeds are not the end of the world. I intentionally bread all the time and plants that have limited seeding always seem to be a little more potent. Don't know why, maybe they are trying harder.

I already got rid of the hermie plant but there is already seed sacs everywhere. I couldn't check my girls for a few days and I was way to late. A cluster of them went off

when you say take the make parts off early hat do you mean? The nanners? If that's what you mean there's no need cause I already chopped and removed the hermied plant and the rest of my girls have been pollinated so there's no need for any of that
