Thick Leaves and Spots: Burn or Not?

First time grower here! Kali Mist from bagseed.

So her leaves have been thicker for a while, most likely due to burn by being put too close to a light for too long. She has continued growth fine, as well as those leaves which have kept pace (ie they’re not stunted themselves). Need some guidance on what to do!

Potted in Nature’s Care Organic Potting Soil in 3 gallon containers. Mostly indoor grow on a sun porch (gardening region 7b) though when temperatures are higher I leave them outside. I stopped using the light because a) it doesn’t hang and b) it’s a Daylight lamp for people.

Temperatures vary but I try to keep it between 50-60, and RH 40-60.

Water when feels dry, no consistent watering schedule. Tap water, usually around 7-7.2, but I’ve recently ph-ed down to 6.8-6.9 . 37 days old (I know she’s little).

EDIT: I’ve ordered a grow light but it’s taking its sweet ass time getting here. Using sunlight was definitely a desperate last call measure.

I think you should be further along then that by now. I think your need to find a regular light source and stick to it. Outside inside whatever you have to use. Pick one and stick with it.

Totally I agree, I‘ve had a light on the way for weeks (damn Amazon) and once that comes in I’ll be able to have a more consistent environment. Sunlight wasn’t my intention but it’s what I had to resort to lol. But do you think inconsistent lighting caused the thickened leaves and spots, like it’s a stress thing?

Update: so it actually looks like I have spider mites and fungus gnats, brought in by a farmer’s market tomato and sunflower seedlings. The brown is likely residual from the bad too close lamp, but the white spots are from the spider mites. The brown and thickness could also be from a deficiency or salt build up, so that will need to dealt with. I’ve gotten a 45W LED now which is helping (and another one on the way).

So far my plan is to a) balance the ph so as to keep her healthy, b) purchase insecticide soap, and then also white vinegar (diluted with water) to spray in intervals, c) let the soil dry out a day or so longer than I have been to kill any larvae and d) once this issue is mitigated, move them to a more sterile grow room environment.
