i learned that the shameless and transparent manuevers bucky uses to start pissing matches, and his own use of offensive language is highly effective at closing threads, when in fact bucky should be banned for his antics, not rewarded with thread closures.

It was both parties that closed it. It's just another ring in the circus. It's like watching the WWE.
Neither side stands for what they claim to be. Both have the same bottom line agenda, but they hide it behind this pointless bickering. Liberals are liberal, meaining liberty, until it comes to healthcare, smocking cigarettes, Big Gulps, etc.... Conservatives are conservative, meaning to preserve things as they are, untill it comes to taxes on big business, Roe vs Wade, etc....
Even the ideologies they now espouse only reflect their current agenda.
Nither side is argueing that spending needs to be drastically cut across the board. Niether side believes that the average american is best when government is not involved in his life. Niether side is for upholding the Constitution and the Bill of Rights.
Niether side is for us. Our SuperPAC is not big enough. Stop voting for the same corporate bought assholes. Vote independent this year. Don't vote party, vote individual. It's time to clean out the trash on both sides.

the GOP spoke of closing the government since before the 2010 elections.
they threatened government shutdown or default over and over and over again, 7 times since 2010.
if the GOP wants to get rid of the PPACA, they need to wait until they have the house, senate, and presidency. because right now, it is law. and exercising impotent rage to shut down the government and keep children away from cancer treatments will not stop the PPACA. it will proceed even with the government shut down.

Every person alive in this country, except for conservative extremists and morons , KNOW that the Republicans are responsible for this shutdown, just like the only other one in this country's history, initiated by then Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich. So, it really doesn't matter that the Republicans say they aren't the cause this time, again, because the majority of voters in this country do. I just hope the they pay for their stupidity in 2016.
