the news said that the child care benefit will be clawed back so the real money in your pocket won't be $60..closer to $30.
they don't say that in those ads

i really don't understand why having a kid earns you cash anyway.
i mean, if you need help.. ok. but i don't understand handing out money just because they've got a kid.

You should look into what Quebec does!!!...promote population growth within versus through immigration.

Congrats.....being a dad is the best thing that ever happened to me.

they just cant give any money away...without have some kinda scheme(Harpies trip up word,,,)attached to it.
It just goes against everything they (the CONS) feel deep down....
I really don't think it is humanly possible for them....to actually keep their word...and give some money to struggling
families....260 per month per kid...would help....but by they time it shoots you into a higher tax bracket...Percentage wise...the net amount gained is actually a loss....for the Bread winner of the family....
This is about the lowest....form of claw back of taxes...that these sleaze balls could have ever tried to pull....
I am almost impressed... by how much thought they must have had to put into...this...in order to deceive the group of tax payers... who donate the most to the gov. coffers..... at the same time trying to convince them to vote for the CONS as well.....wow it takes shear gall to do this....

wait until you hear about the people who had their incomes increased by such little things like this hand out to be exact.
WHICH will and does put a lot of people into the next TAX bracket

I know a lot of single mothers in Quebec that are grateful for the $7/day daycare. Money you can save and put aside for your child's education. Good babysitters are expensive!

I agree, handouts is not the way to improve our economy or living standards. But, its the easiest and quickest way to solve an issue. Cough, cough, celebrities taking care of paparazzi.

ultimately they want more people to be available to become part of the workforce....promoting population growth from within...is always better since they can curb immigration should the birth rate suddenly go up....
it will be all part and parcel...and intertwined with the cons...setting one group of voters pitted against another...group...
so by laying the ground work..to have those who want immigration to be curbed...trading off votes with those...who want
to take part in the gov's attempt to bribe...people to have kids...
this in turn increase the costs for healthcare with babies being born ....then pitted against those who will be promised
more money in their pockets for allowing healthcare fiunding cuts.....and so on and so on....until the have basically
stacked the deck in their favor...by knowing who will vote off against who...
and for the unknown ones...well they will just call you on the phone and straight up ask....
lets face it ....its got to be cheating

Congrats! Enjoy it...but be warned, they grow into teenagers! lol My oldest got married on Saturday...they grow up quick.

so true Chris...so true....I still remember closing my business so I could be a stay home dad ,with my girls...
I would not have done things any different...despite the loss of income...before I knew it...I had 3 lovely girls...
all off to school....and who would of known...I was giving them a point of view....and outlook... that they now tell
me was so unique...and different....than a lot of their friends...
we spent a great deal of time...in the outdoors...doing things like fishing...cutting wood, building things..
doing science experiments....playing guitar...
now the youngest is moving out next month...and off to university...
The time has flown by....
though we become obsessed with our finances along the way...and lots of parents sacrifice time with family for having a little more income....to make things work out on the balance sheet....
let me tell you ...you can " not " recover that lost time....with your kids especially....
so treasure it....before you know it....you will be on the hook for more university....lol

So my buddy Steve sent me a taxable cheque today for $840...at least it goes to the lower income person to be taxed...fucking crooks...
