.
8. Every religion should be respected and promoted in public schools in the name of diversity, so long as that religion isn't Christianity.
As I said before [separaion of church and state], public schools shouldn't be in the bussness of religion.
9. The best way to support our troops is to criticize their every move. This will let them know they're thought of often.
I for one have never criticized any of the troops, this is not to say there has not been reason for some, but understanding what can happen in combat I could only criticize what I see with my own eyes.
10. Sexual harassment, groping and drug use are degenerate if you're the governor of California, but it's okay if you're the President of the United States.
Arnold while not a truly good actor did bring something to the table, as he does as governor and I for one thought that he would be a very good governor, and as far as I know he is. I don't care about his having group sex eather.
As for bush, just as arnold this was long a go and I don't care if he smoked pot on and off for a while or that he did coke for a few years.
11. Sex education should be required so that teens can make informed choices about sex, but gun education should be banned because it will turn those same teens into maniacal mass-murderers.
Both past the science part should be done at home.
12. Minorities are blameless for the hatred of the racist; women are blameless for the hatred of the rapist; but America is entirely at fault for the hatred of Islamofascists.
The truth is that most racists are minorities.
The way you put this you seem to put blame on women for the hatred of the rapist, do you do this?
While I could argue some blame in all 3 cases, the thread would be thin and only heart felt in the racist case.
13. Poverty is the cause of all terrorism...which is why the leaders of al Qaeda are typically U.S.-educated and were raised in wealth and luxury.
While poverty is not the cause it has been well used like saddam giving 25,000 to the familys of a succsessfull islamoterrorist bomber
14. The Patriot Act is a horrific compromise of Constitutional rights, but anti-Second Amendment laws and Franklin Roosevelt's Presidential Order 9066 must be regarded "reasonable precautions."
This is not something that I worry about, but it doesn't mean that theres not anything to worry about.
Vi you do understand that the constitution has been amended and I'm sure that it will be again and I have fear of this just as you do. I also have read you enough to know that your not a strict constitutionlist.
15. We should unquestioningly honor the wishes of our age-old allies, even when said allies no longer act like our allies and have vested economic interests in propping up our enemies.
I say what allies? I have only seen allies when interests intersect and when they diverge so do the allies. A close look at ww1, ww2 or ww3 and you should note that interests and allies diverge at the same point.
16. Socialized medicine is the ideal. Nevermind all those people who spend every dime they have to get to the United States so they can get quality medical care...that their nation's socialized medical community can't provide.
There are gaps in medical care and the emergency room is socialized medicine for the poor and illegals.
17. Michael Moore, Noam Chomsky and Natalie Maines are perfectly qualified to criticize our leadership, but Arnold Schwarzenegger, Charlton Heston, and Dennis Miller are just ignorant political hacks.
The first three are liers and spiners, two actors and a comedian.
18. John Lott's research on how gun ownership reduces crime is junk science, but Michael Bellesiles is still an authority on why gun control is good (even though he was forced to resign from Emory due to research misconduct over his book "Arming America").
I'm with you here.
19. Bush's toppling the Saddam regime was a "diversion," but Clinton's lobbing a couple of cruise missiles at Iraq in the thick of the Lewinsky sex scandal was "sending a message."
Nether were a diversion nor ment to be.
20. A president who lies under oath is okay, but a president who references sixteen words from an allies' intelligence report should be dragged through the streets naked.
Bill was asked if he had had sex with lewinsky, he asked for their definition of sex, they defined it as intercourse and he properly said that he hadn't had sex with lewinsky. To do otherwise would have been lying under oath and that would be perjury. I thank you should know this, so if you say this again it would be you that is lying.
As for bush I don't think anyone really wants to see him naked, though their are some strange people.
21. Government should limit itself to the powers named in the Constitution, which include banning Second Amendment rights and shopping the courts for judges sympathetic to causes that wouldn't pass in any legislature.
Yes I agree. Both sides do this.
I seem to have forgot what part of the constitution alows the government to limit what a woman can do with her body and how this is can be used to stop her from aborting a fetus?
22. "The People" in the First Amendment means The People; "the People" in the Fourth Amendment means The People; "the People" in the Ninth Amendment means The People; "the People" in the Tenth Amendment means The People; but "the People" in the Second Amendment (ratified in 1791) means the National Guard (created by an Act of Congress in 1903).
As I have said I'm with you on the 2nd amendment.
23. You support a woman's "right to choose" to kill her unborn child, but don't believe that same woman is competent enough to homeschool the children she bears.
I would say that a woman choosing to abort a fetus gives proof shes incompetent, and shouldn't homeschool past prekindergarden.
24. Proven draft-dodging is irrelevant, but baseless claims of AWOL status is crucial to national security.
Bill was in school and would have been war or not.
That cannot be truely stated as draft-dodging and stating that its proven is simply a lie.
I will say that joining the national guard in that time was just a legal way to avoid the draft if you had the pull and money to get in. As far as being AWOL the claim is not baseless and is more than likely true. I did the samething for 2 weeks and for 3 days a lot of times and got away with it. I would not and could not find fault for this. He did his job and the US wasn't invaded on his watch. The point is moot.
25. Threatening to boycott Dr. Laura's and Rush Limbaugh's advertisers is exercising Freedom of Speech, but threatening to boycott CBS's "The Reagans" and Liberal actors over their asinine anti-American remarks is censorship and McCarthyist blacklisting.
I wouldn't boycott eather, but I think that a boycott of both would be great.
Git back to me on these things Vi if you like.
