i can buy nice healthy clones for $10 each so right now i have some bigbud clones. i would love to clone and get 10 more of them,is it hard and costly to be successful? i have most of the stuff i think? i have 7 inch humidity dome ,fish tank heat pad ,cfl's ,so i need rock wool and some root gel? any thing else? is it worth doing or should i just buy them?

You have it covered man. In the long run it is WAY cheaper and much less of a hassle having to go out and buy and transport clones. Clonex root gel works wonders. I personally use cloning plugs such as Root Riot but I know lots of people swear by rockwool.

It's not very hard at all. Take one of your clones. Grow it vegetatively. Once it is at least a foot or two, take cuttings for clones. Some pre soaked rockwool and some cloning gel along with what you already have and your golden. There are plenty of cloning techniques on this site... as you probably already know. Keeping your mother will allow you to save ten bucks each time you take a clone, and you can take as many as you want.

how many can i take from the plant in my last pic?
It's a little hard telling from the pic. How many branches do you have? Looks like you have a lot of options there. If it were mine I'd probably take 4 or 5 but it depends on if you're keeping it as a mother plant. You could probably take more if you're going to mother it.

That my friend is your decision. If you think you're going to stick with that strain for a long time then a mother would be a good idea. You can also do like I do and take clones from clones. I will take 4 clones from a veg plant and then flower it. And once those clones are ready for flower, I take clones from them. Some would say that my method degrades the strain after a while but I haven't had any problems.

thanks my buddy grows all the strains i have and the big bud produces more and is great to smoke so i'd like to stick with them for a while,i was thinking to do the same thing take a few from every clone and then get some from them clones but if a mother is better i'll do that is there any difference?

ehhh its up to you what to do. either way will work... however mothers are generally stronger. over time the mother will develop thicker branches and more 'stable' clones. Also when you 'renew' your mother plant... you'll have a big monster bush that you can stick into flowering that will yield nicely... good luck
