Thinking about rdwc?

Ok so if I keep the res outside off my tent, shut all heat to the room off and use a water chiller. Would it work? The basement is where the force air heater is and is warm if not the warmest part of the house.
Hmm. Well then lol. Small Bsmt? My forced air furnace is also in my bsmt but I have most ducts closed so my bsmt stays pretty cool. Every situation is unique I guess.

I have a 5x5,I play around with different ways.Last run was 3 rdwc 5g pails 1 coco and 5 organic.Dont have to commit you whole room.
A simple system like two totes with a flexable hose between 1 1/2 .one is plants (2) other is res.It can be 20' away just takes more hose.Small pump runs 1/2" hose to the plants to make waterfalls.Simple and cheap.

So the water in the buckets needs to be 65 to 68. But what about the leaf suffic temp 84 degrees or so right?
Yeah, this is why the cool bsmt is perfect. My room can be 80f in the top half but down on the floor were my cold air comes in will be 70f.

I grow the hydro plants taller before I trellis so the canopy is higher in my room where its warmer.

Why do I see ppl saying rdwc is difficult. Am I looking at the wrong path as far as hydroponics goes? Please share your experiences so I can weigh the pros and cons
RDWC is probably the easiest method, with spectacular results. However, it doesn't replace practice growing in general. Take a look at my grow room thread below. I made several improvements along the way, so you'll see my room morph over time.

I see no link or thread?

Longest I feel comfortable leaving a running grow is about 3 days, even with automation.
not to brag, but i do waterfarms drain to waste and can go away 2 weeks. the trickiest part was finding nutes that would be stable pH that long. but it can be done!!! lol
