Third Auto Grow - five mephistos, one night owl, viparspectra KS 5000 - one month old

i'm bored and want to track what i'm doing.
front row left to right - creme de la chem - hubbabubbasmelloscope (a great name) -chemdogging

back row left to right - forum stomper - night owl's invader zam - sour stomper.

all are a month old except the sour stomper which is 3 weeks old.

topped them all at various times. the invader zam has been tied down due to height. she was the first to show preflowers.

it's my first grow using the KS 5000 light. about 27 inches from top of plants at 75% power. i need to measure that again. it's been awhile.

the vornado humidifier works well if the bedroom door is closed. 50 to 60 percent is typical.

a bunch of ferts, mega crop (3 different ones), seaweed extract (for the hell of it), a shot of cal-mag, a dash of molasses, a bit of silica. PHed the fertilized water to 6.4 after using a lot of PH up.

soil - lite warrior for seedlings and top layer of soil. the rest is fox farm Happy Frog and a lot of perlite.

i'm kind of using - AC Infinity Self-Watering Fabric Pot Base. i keep changing my mind on the fly so basically i'm just using the bottom part and have been watering from the bottom and the top. the girls seem to like it.

gave them their first feeding a few days ago. pretty much used what the manufacturer's suggested.

5 gallon bags except for one which is a 3 gallon. such things happen when you work with a good buzz on.





i love the growth on the chemdogging. 2nd one i've grown but i cut the first one due to some timing issues.

i bought a bunch more since i took that picture.

anyway - i tend to cut them when i'm running out of the last crop. i try not to buy from the ripoff weed stores and as we all know, our homegrown is always better than the mass produced stuff.

i have only made it to day 71 from seed. i have loved the highs from early cut plants so don't goof on me for "cutting too early". i cut when the high is just what the doctor ordered.

hopefully i'll keep a few of these growing until they are mostly cloudy but 1/2 clear, 1/2 cloudy is very nice too.

the hash oil has given me a great idea. maybe
i have about 1.5 ounces of bud left. plus 2.5ish grams of hash oil. the combo of bud and oil always gets me higher than i like for the morning but i shall deal with it.

i vape/smoke 2 and 1/4 ounces every month. mids to amazing buds doesn't matter. 2 and 1/4 oz every month. i'm retired and find that living high is where i like to live. last night, i broke the neck off my favorite glass bubbler which i use for my mighty and volcano vapes. next time i won't leave it on the rolling thing on my bed. it was the 3rd one, each the same, so perfect. back to DH Gate.
i like cooling the vapor down so i don't cough like a tuberculosis patient.

IF i get a decent yield, i'll cut 1/2 of the top colas when i run out of bud and leave the rest to get to mostly cloudy. the only downside to this is lost time when i could be running 6 more genetics.

i know it's odd but i would happily buy this early cut bud and be thankful. you have to start with great genetics. which means, IF i wanted to, i could get in a harvest every 60 to 70 days. having grown regular old seeds for so long it's kind of funny to go from seed to hanging in a few weeks.

my goal is to have enough bud to not have to buy any and have enough in the closet to be able to flower autos longer and throw in some Photos for a good 2 to 3 month veg and 75ish day flower. like god intended.

i tend to ramble when i'm stoned.

I alternate between dabbing rosin and smoking flower in a simple glass beaker bong which I'm thinking of replacing

37 days. i put the lights at 100% yesterday. i need to tie down the taller one in the back.
gave them a good watering, no ferts, yesterday. i thought i messed up and put one in a 3 gallon bag. nope, i put two of them in 3 gallon bags. i must have been ripped.

day 42

magnesium deficiency has been growing on the back row, middle plant. i added calmag to the first feeding and i guess i'll double up on it next feeding.

looking decent. i cut the lights back to 75% as the back middle and back right plant were not liking it. the far right plant in the back has it's top leaves cupping under until i changed to 75%. and i raised the light a bit. i need to work on it.

work, work, work!

the magnesium deficiency has spread like wildfire. most of this one plant's leaves are affected. it's the invader zam genetics. mostly sativa. it looks like i'll have zero fan leaves in a few days. should be interesting. i never had this problem before. but i realize that LEDs and some autos seem to need more cal or mag or calmag to do well. time to do some reading.

i should make a note of that somewhere. I know, i'll make a grow diary!

week 6 for all but the sour stomper which is at 5 weeks.

so my ph meter committed suicide. i took a guess with the PH up and will order a supposedly better ph meter. on amazon, it's remarkable how some meters have a high rating but also have a bunch of posts saying they suck. i searched for the best meters of 2022/2023. the highest rated always has a bunch of negative comments. it's annoying. how fucking hard is it to make a device that works first time every time?

i doubled up on the cal mag because, i was high and thought, yolo! it's all a guessing game at this point.

if the double calmag hurts them, i'll know in a couple days. i need to find a better way to water them as the brown liquid filled with ferts messes up my white flooring as i try to pour the liquid into the base for some bottom up watering.

i just got 3 meds that all say may cause dizzyness. fuck.



the chemdogging, front row far right is my favorite. very nice growth patten.


i have always been a lazy grower and grow using the least amount of effort. the more effort, the more things go tits up.

i should trim up the bottom a bit but see above.

by the way, the front row were all put into 1 gallon bags and up potted to 3 gall and 5 gall. it was messy due to the soil being too dry and crumbly and all 6 were topped once.

day 47ish. a second plant has developed the cal? mag? deficiency. i think. the damage started at the ends of the leaf instead of forming in the middle like other times. but the damage looks the same.

i've had it and will ditch my current nutes and use an old favorite, advanced nutes. i tried these new nutes when i grew photos a couple of times but they are not working out for these autos.
a couple years ago, i recommended the AN products to a friend who only grows autos and he's never had the calmag problem. he uses a tsp of calmag per gallon for a few weeks but i'm doing it too for the last 2 grows and it's not working out.




i love having 6 different genetics per grow but it can be annoying. C'est la vie!

i also figured out how to avoid spilling nutes all over the floor. i got a funnel which fits into a larger funnel kind of thing so i can stand up, stick the funnel in the pot holder thing and fill er up nice and neat.

i have kept the lights at the same height for most of the grow. the back end is up a bit higher to allow for the tallest plant. i should just tie her down some more but i'm curious about something so will leave her alone. she was topped once and tied down a bit. i'm not sure how high the lights are but at 100% the plants seem to like it. i need to put the shortest one on something to raise her up a bit. doesn't look like she will produce much so because she has girl scout cookie genetics, a favorite, i'll grow her again and keep an eye on her.

lazy growing doesn't always work out, usually but not always, but as long as i have enough to smile for a few months, i'm good to go.

i have 2 oz left of the last crop. which will last a bit more than 3 weeks. then i either go to the store or cut some of the bottom stuff to get me a bit further.

day 48

before i fed them some AN products, sensi bloom A and B, big bud and some molasses they started showing some nitrogen def. i think.

the leaves are praying so i'm happy.


this nitrogen deficiency is mostly on one plant but a leaf or 3 on some others. more to come i'm sure. i might add a wee bit of nitrogen next feeding. i drenched them all last night . full feeding. the funnel worked out great. now i just need to clean up the spills from before. it might take me awhile. i need a maid.


i forgot to use the calmag again. i blame it on old age, not being stoned. maybe a little being stoned.




i got pretty bad results from my physical . need to lose weight asap so i joined nutrisystem for diabetics. it worked for my years ago so i'm hoping. on day 3, i ordered chinese food. on day 4 i ordered burgers. on day 6 i ordered pizza and just now i ordered a large pastrami sammich. i'm fucked.

i had my numbering off a bit. today is day 55. did you know that 2 months does not necessarily equal 60 days? shows you how bad my math education was.

they are sticky. i barely brushed the plants while picking off leaves. ahhh, the sticky. great smells too. the only bad part is waiting another 20 days or more to sacrifice the little darlings to the vape gods.





gave them a full feeding last night. the advanced nutes seem to have fixed a couple of things. next time i'll see what the AN can do from the start.

it looks like the creme de la chem will be done first. maybe one more feeding and then nothing but water for a watering or 2.

Day 65 for all but one which is 57 days old. they are not pretty. i changed nutes and hope the next grow will not have so many messed up leaves. i just couldn't get the mega crop trio together.

i've taken some test buds. nothing to write home about yet but they smell great and the trichs are nicely clouding up. i'm going for another week or three. but i only have a few more grams of bud left and one of them will get the chop soon.

i kept the light hung at around 26 inches and will lower it for flowering the next grow which will start as soon as i harvest these.






there is a huge chance that i will be stoned one night, stare at them for a couple minutes and then chop them down in a frenzy of bud collecting. i'm funny like that.

Memphisto Fourm Stompers @ day 63. Still a ways to go but, good frost. Dragon Fly hung out on my cola too long.
