This will be lengthy but I’ll give as much information as possible to help with a diagnosis.
There is a sticky thread to take pics with the lights off, but unfortunately for me I took these pics before I read that and I’m now at work, plus the 2 week old picture has already been taken back then so I apologize for that.
At first I thought I was just getting fall colors, but as these leaves turned this deep purple I realized something is amiss.
I have taken 2 pictures of the same plant. The first pic is about 2 weeks ago, and the second one is today.
this particular plant is being grown synthetically in coir that I buffered myself, using jacks part B and de chlorinated tap water for feedings. HOWEVER, in this same tent I just harvested one growing in organic soil using Dr Earth dry amendments in an 30 gallon pot and I had very similar discoloration of the leaves towards the end, however not quite as severe.
my setup: this tent is a 4x8. I have 3 Bestva BP4000 LED lights running at about 80 percent with a par value around 800 on my canopy. I also have a single 1000 watt HPS light on one end. I know my light setup is a bit bizarre, we’re actually using the HPS on a hooded vent duct system to try and help heat this room.
my humidity has been my biggest headache. Despite running my humidifiers around the clock, it has been particularly cold here and our gas fired furnace is drying the piss out of our air. I struggle keeping things above 50 percent. We are at 62 percent for the most part though.
My temps have been around 79 degrees but admittedly they have dropped as low as 62 when a couple strong cold spells passed through.
I have tried to keep my PH around 5.9, but I realize I had issues with a supposed high end but junk ph pen I thought I had recalibrated to fix. So I switched to GH drops and gotten it close to 6.2 as I can whilst I await my new pen which arrives tomorrow. So a bad PH is a very real possibility here.
I have not used any magnesium supplements. Because I have just always felt my water has a high magnesium content from past grows but I could be mistaken. No water testing has been done.
