Who's to say whether they were taking down or repairing said fence that is pictured? The picture captures a moment in time when a fencing tool was by a fence. Maybe they cut down one and repaired another? Maybe they made an opening which they consider a repair?

Anyone hear anything further on the feds trying to hand control of the land over to the state?

The Bundys themselves said they were taking down the fence? I mean, seriously, there's a video of them taking it down and cutting it too.

The video shows them making an opening. Which they possibly called repairs?
That's not repairing a fence though. They could say they were "repairing the fence" by taking it down, but what are they actually doing? Taking down the fence. They're not repairing a thing.

I could say I need to go talk to a man about a horse when I need to take a piss, but am I talking to a man about a horse? No, I'm urinating.

Considering the fact that they consider a fence that hampers a rancher unable to graze to be wrongful, I can see them consider making an opening a 'repair '.

Crafty way to look at it.
Agreed. But do you not also understand what I'm saying? Kinda the equivalent of quoting all gun related homicides but leaving out the fact that many were deemed justifiable. Killings in self-defense, shootings by cops justified or not, accidental shootings, etc. They are all forms of homicide. And some of them are justified. But they all get lumped together in most stats.

Every group has their spin. One has to stay aware of that when informing ones self.

Controlled fire is actually good. Plenty of state wildlife agencies use it.

I garuntee the grassland that burned grew back greener.
You are correct, there is a lot going on that you can't even read because it's just not written down. I live near, and have worked up there and I don't have a clue what's really going on. However, looking at the big picture as a one time small rancher, I can assure you that if I had moved some of my livestock onto those Federal grazing lands it would have went over like a fart in church! And it wouldn't have been the Gov. I needed to worry about. Some of those folks have a strange sense of entitlement. As for my opinion," I don't care how many injuns your grand-pappy killed", LoL. If ya spend some time in and around the area, you would really laugh at that. I call that area "Macon County Or." Just for the record, I have nothing against the use of fire for conservation and restoration of wild lands. The locals have been doing it since...... As for the militia dude, I think he is writing a book. LoL I hope it does well.

Yes I have noticed gun deaths are never categorized or the story would make sense and the 2nd would stand tall.

Are you against permit fees and firefighter detail expenses when doing it with permission ?

I misused a term, I apologize. Like I said, I've used them to cut fencing, and tear it down.
No need to apologize. Even though we disagree politically we was jest yankin' yo chain. It's all good.

Having said that, i couldn't resist. I just laid some of my farm tools out on my road. If you can correctly identify my tools and guess which one I find the most useful, you'll get a pound of Uncle Ben's Mexican Expresso!!! Yay!

No I'm not against that. Full disclosure, back in the day I would have been applying as a vendor for such activities (water truck driver). That in and of itself puts a taint on my opinion. Ya, that taint!, Anyway, Everybody needs to take responsibility for their own actions and be properly trained and underwritten before engaging in activities that effect/affect the public. Just for the record, my opinion is the same for certain other(un-insured) activities on public lands such as recreational mt. climbers who waste Or resources and sometimes even the lives of first responders when they get lost or hurt. Wow, I digress. Moving on...... Miners, Loggers, and Truckers have to abide by the rules; why not everybody else?
