This is my first grow I am open to all suggestions using pf tek to start

I first bought a kit only and got some contamination in my first grow. I do no recommend kits if you just follow the PF TEK you and just make BRF jars yourself and so far it has been easy. I made the jars on July 13. Inoculated July 14 everything went well no contamination. I made a glove box of which pictures I will attach later. I made have waited too long to dunk and roll. Is there a time you can wait too long I have read that you wait till the jars look 100% then wait another week. I probably waited two weeks. I did the dunk August 8th for 24 hours it ended up being around 32 hours I am wondering if that is going to ruin my cakes. Please let me know? I then rolled them in verm and have them set up in a shotgun fruiting chamber with holes drilled on all sides. I wanted to also ask what kind of lighting exactly should I use. It is set up in a loft that it gets some light from the window during the day is that enough? I also wanted to know exactly how mush I should mist and fan the cakes?

If I dunked the cakes over 24 hours ended up being 32 hours will that negatively effect the cakes?

How much light and how much should I mist and fan my cakes for per day?

you'll have to wait for someone with more experience to let you know if you're in trouble from the long dunk, but other than that you sound like you should be fine

have you tried looking on shroomery.org and posting there? im researching growing them and going to start in a week or so but that forum has been very helpful so far for me..

Or you can go to a cow/horse farm and gather up all the shit you stand!

read faq on shroomery it was 27c which is 80.6f. all the same i suppose

nvm misread .... "at a temperature in the mid 70s to about 80 Fahrenheit (23C to 27C)"

You can go all the way to 83 without compromising growth, after that it slows and thermal death is something over 100.
