This is nute burn, right?

First time grower here. Day F45. I've got some nute burn going on, right?

I got these as clones from a friend. I'm told the strain is Fuel. Fox Farms Happy Frog soil, 5 gal fabric pots in a 4x4. Mars Hydro TS 3000W (450 actual watts). I have been using the Fox Farms trio, calmag, and liquid karma. I have been feeding with every watering, once every 4 days. When I noticed the burn last night I flushed with a couple of gallons plain water (6.4ph) per plant. The runoff tested at 6.5ph.

Should I only feed every other watering, or should I keep on like I have been but lower the amount of nutes I'm using?

Yes it's nutrient burn. Don't feed it for the next two waterings, after that only feed it every second watering.

Almost every strain I've grown gets brown tips on the leaves no matter what. Burn would have the edges of the leaves turning up and even the points along the edges going brown too.

Personally I'd just reduce the amount of feed 25 - 50% for the next couple waterings. If it is a hint of burn then most just pull back a bit. Over the half way mark flowering so make sure you're lower on the N and P a bit and up the K some. Add some Epsom salts as well to boost up the Mg and S for more resin.

Looking really good!

Should I use 1 tsp / gal of Epsom salt? It seems like that would be better than using CalMag since that also has N. My experienced buddy tells me these have about 3 weeks left. Things are getting exciting.

Thanks for the kind words!

Am I misreading this? or are you saying that epsom increases potassium as well? I always thought that epsom was only mag and sulfur.

I agree though, depending on how many leaves are showing the burned tips and what OP is currently feeding, I would just dial back the food slightly. I usually have a little bit of tip burn in my grows, as long as its not widespread or accompanied by really dark leaves or clawing, I don’t typically worry.

The way I wrote it does look a bit like I'm saying the K is in the Epsom but that's not the way I meant it. I meant to say to boost the K up and also add Epsom for the Mg and S.

Thanks for pointing that out while I still had time to go back and fix that. :)

That's a good amount. I'd still use some CalMag but half or even a bit less that recommended is fine. I never used it for years in DWC and never saw Ca deficiencies and only used RO water. Now I use it every 2nd watering or so and only at half dose levels. Still RO water but in ProMix HP which has lots of two types of lime in it so plenty of Ca and Mg. I do use Epsom Salts too especially the last half of flower.

The N in CalMag bugs me too when I'm in late flowering and the REMO stuff I have says to stop using it on Week 6 probably to reduce N. I used to make my own Calcium nitrate with marble chips and conc nitric acid. I got lots of conc sulphuric acid too so I should make some calcium sulphate then don't have to worry about the N at all. A low dose of that plus some Epsom salts should work pretty good.

Haha no problem. I was afraid I would come off as a prick but I was genuinely curious. I use epsom salt fairly regularly, coco grower under QBs here ☺

Saying something like, "Hey dickwad there's no K in Epsom salts you goof. How stupid are you?" could be perceived as a little prickish but pointing out a fumble politely like that is appreciated. ;)

Don't want to confuse the lurkers and nOObs any more than necessary.
