I got high for the first time in my life at 40 years old on a business trip to Denver. Have never smoked anything in my life before so the very nice Budtender gave me Gummies. The strangest thing started happening repeatedly when I got home, I would take a gummy and watch a movie with my wife. After about 30 minutes she would turn to me and say she was feeling high??! How can this be happening from an edible? I am dead serious.. This happens every time. I try it at a Dinner parties and after 30 minutes everybody is acting loopy. I know you might be thinking I am just dreaming this up but that is not the case. Multiple times I have had people I am with turn to me and say they feel strange. I have never told anybody this accept my wife. Has anyone had a similar experience?

Cannabis has always done this to me to a certain extent. In my opinion a lot of it has to do with your frame of mind. When you're high you pay more attention to people, the faces they make, their reactions to things, etc. We used to joke around in high school that any time we were high around dogs, they were silently judging us. Not because they were acting different, just because we were paying more attention to them and drawing our own (high) conclusions.
It also happens when you're high in public and afraid people will know. Unless you stink of dank, no one knows. Those looks they're giving you are more than likely the same looks they'd give you if you were sober.
As for your friends, is it possible they seem like goofier versions of themselves because you're high? There's also a possibility that they're acting goofier than normal because you're high and you're more open and goofy than you normally are. This tends to mirror itself in our friends and family in my experience.
