I would say you have a normal pot plant. It appears that soon after the cotlydons grew the meristem was damaged, or at least not growing properly. The plant stuck out 2 single-leaflet leaves, and then 2 more right on top of them. That caused the stem to grow enough for a lower node to sprout some branches, which will be the meristem.

it almost looks like that except it is so uniform. i've had this happen and the leaves usually come out distorted. and it seems to be one leaf stem straight off the main shoot. that's the part that get's me. what is the top going to do?

As you watch the plant,the plant watches you.As you take care of the plant,later the plant will take care of you.so worry not,your on the right path.You have been chosen.Some were along the line you helped the old weed lady cross the street.

It's just a mutant - a deformity, a growth anomaly - it happens. Not all plants grow nice and healthy off the bat.

Leave it be - see if it sorts itself out in a few nodes time, if it doesn't you may have to chuck it.

so the top node stopped growing and the two side nodes are taking over...guess your lucky it happened by the second node and not the first huh?

Im probably gonna have to tie it up wen its get bigger!! if it does! i might move it under the 400w light now. see if i can speed it up. do you think i should give a tiny bit of grow nuits to help or is there enough in the soil already? i ain't added anything yet.

If you could set up a small 7"dvd player for the plant now and then it would aprietiate it,you have to rember you have to treat this plant fifferant from the rest.show it the movie about the little red caboose,i think i can i think i can.and good luck not that you need it,all is well as long as its in your hands,fdd has been chosen to help you through it,many fox in sheeps clotheing will tell you to kill the one or that its just a freak,but they are from the darkside,they know this plant is a light upon the world and they will do whatever is possible to stop it.
