This Is What Happens When You Use Pots That Are Too Small.

I was screwing around one day and didn't have any large pots free, so I decided to check the difference in yield between a big pot with a few plants and a small pot with a few plants. Needless to say it gives some pretty good insight as to how much room the plants need to grow. I grow 100% organic, premixed raw ingredients (similar to supersoil) and use compost tea's. I've got 2 plants in a one gallon, and 4 in the 7 gallon.

So next time you are at the nursery going, "damn the next bigger pot is almost double the price, you can remember these pictures and bite the bullet for the big'uns.

^ I am wondering the same thing. You could do 1 plant in that 7 gal. and get a plant that is huge. Are you limited on space? Great experiment though, and the larger ones look great.

I'm curious to why you would grow more then one plant in one pot.
Just trying stuff out, I run a nursery and haven't done a lot with cannabis. This is what I do in my greenhouse with new plants, why should I listen to the hacks on RollItUp, when I can get real experience? This is the first time I've grown more then one per pot (side by side), however I should have some pretty solid results from LST'ed plants with a 1-2 month veg time vs. 3 plants with a 2 week veg time and a pot of the same size. I should harvest them within the next couple weeks, but it's a blowout for the multiple plants. You're welcome to check out my journal. But unless you've tried it, I wouldn't knock it.

Veg time vs. quick turnover. Also I'm moving out of this place before to long, and I know I will need to compact my grow. Figured I need to know the best way to do that before I get in the situation. You can check out my grow, and my run-up to it in my sig

Yes thats what happens, ive done something similar. The one in the small pot isnt neccesarily root bound its just that it runs out of water quicker and salts build up when this happens, also it has moisture stress more often than the big one resulting in a much smaller yellow leaved midget.
