Its a Boy :( WHAT TO DO?
Noticed seed pods today. Started picking them off but theres alot. Is there any way to reverse or save this? Probably not Im sure. Is there any reason to keep it? (dont care about producing seeds.) Will it produce smokeables at all? Should I just hack it down? If I do cut it down can anything be done with the plant?

about 7 weeks from seed
been in 12/12 about 2 weeks
SUPER SILVER HAZE

PLEASE HELP
THANKS

Chief: You have a few options:
1. If there's a girl near by get him out of the room unless you want a lot of seeds and a weaker crop.
2. Once he's isolated you can keep him going for pollen and selectively pollinate a couple of buds carefully on the female with a Q-tip for seeds for future crops. At today's cost of seeds that makes sense.
3. All may not be lost. I've never kept the males for anything other than reproduction but on page 123, about half way down the page, in Tommy McCarthy's book, "GROWING MARIJUANA," he claims you can smoke him. He claims, "Even more potent are the male buds."
4. Obviously, we go for the more potent sensimilla buds of the female but what have you got to lose? Please let us know how this works out. I hope this helps. HSA

I pulled it. Going to start fresh. Learned alot first time around. He was the only plant in the AG3. I planted 1 seed and about 2 weeks into 12/12 (almost 7 weeks from seed) I started to seed seed sacks. Picked alot off but the more we picked the more we saw so I just pulled it. I'll be posting when I start the new one, dont know if Im going to use seeds I have or buy some new ones, we'll see...

Chief: but how much pain was there in what you learned? Had you done your homework first it could have been a lot easier. Next time RTFB. HSA

RTFB? not familiar with the lingo.
Contrary to what you say and HAVE said I did do homework, I have a couple books (Jorge Cervantes, Hightimes books and mags) and I often looked things up on the net (maybe not such a GREAT idea), I also posted pics/questions on this site (Newbie/Ag/Nutes/Problems) on a weekly and sometimes more frequent basis. So to say "I dont do homework" really is neither acurate nor fair. I dont think a plant turning male is the result of lack of knowledge is it?

However, I WILL
