TBH I thought about using neem oil but decided against it. I believe the Mormon crickets wouldn't care and it would push out these gigantic flies that hunt the crickets and grasshopper's. (Don't know for sure but wasn't a risk I was willing to take this year). I eliminated my early cutworm problem with Demetrius earth and caused a secondary water absorbing issue after the dm settled into the soil. TBH I got extremely lucky this year as I grew the plants under 24/7 light and did not know I had cutworms until they were put outside and the worms had darkness to lurk on my plants. If I had given the darkness before hand I would have lost them all.You can mix neem oil with a tiny bit of liquid dish soap and water, then put it in a cheap pump sprayer and coat your plants a couple times as they grow through the veg phase. Many animals and bugs despise the taste and smell of neem. It's a big time tool to have in your arsenal. You can also put chicken wire around the base of each plant or even plant companion crops like marigolds or any other plant that rabbits hate.
looking good considering all you are working aginst!A plant
