I've already purchased the air stones. They work extremely well....Really to consider dropping the costs down and just simplicity of finding them any where I would go with regular 2" air stones...
I think you mean "Pondmaster". In any case, I'm not using an Alita air pump. I'm using a no-name Chinese thing (Jebo) that gets even hotter (probably). Why? It's what I can find locally. Ideal? No. But it worked just fine last time and I'm presuming it will work again. The alita air pumps create a lot of heat in the air they put out and the air they create from running. A better pump to look at I heard was the pump master series. I found the AP-100 for like 130 bucks and is good for 10000gals. So it will feed an entire grow rooms needs for most.
Hydroton is inexpensive, effective, locally available and easy to clean. What's more, in a DWC system like this, once the root system is established and submerged, hydroton basically serves only to help hold the plant upright.Hydroton is also very dirty and not really at the top of the game anymore...
I listed the *ambient* temperatures indoors and out. Temperature inside the tents will be regulated with a digital temperature controller that operates a blower during the day and a heater at night. As for temps you do not want to be that cool...
I've not yet shared the details of my canopy layout. It seems unlikely that anyone could draw conclusions about the orientation without seeing what I have planned.Oh and to each their own again but I don't really consider that a vertical grow. lol.
