Hey whats up guys. so im setting up a veg tent and setting my closet up for flowering. Whats your take on this light? i want to get 4-6 of the 60w ones if they would be good or not. i just dont know if it would be better to veg or flower with it. atm i have a interchangable 600w hps/mh that ive been using (been using the MH for veg) thanks for your input.:bigjoint:

im thinking of this ontop, and 4-6 of the smaller bulbs going on the side/bottom for full coverage. this is a 450w so total i would be pushing 690-810w for the veg room

I'm sure vegetation would be OK, not really sure about flowering. I didn't have a lot of success with my led flowering mine (300 watt 9 band). But adding more would probably do the trick. I'm trying it again to light the top of a 5' sativa that won't fit under my hoods.

Just my 2 cents but if you can handle the heat a 600 HID would be way better for both veg and flower. Also I have been looking at the ceramic discharge lights.

yeah id rock HID before any LED unless the SOLE use for the light is in veg growth only.... they just aren't hitting properly in flower yet IMOP

yeah tents get killer hot with HID thats a major down side... but IMOP i would run a 4ft. 8 bulb T-5 over any LED at this given time. 1 for initial investment cost and 2 because i can replace all the parts in a T5 setup .. just like any HID system... unfortunately you cannot replace damaged parts on LED systems yourself. to me thats a major down side to any technology we use to grow.

realistically you can flower under t-5 and i have actually done that. nothing compares to HID obviously however id have to say that T-5 can out do most LED systems in flower for sure. i would compare a 8-bulb t-5 flower to a 400w hailed flower or close

Ya that does suck. If a bulb went out i wouldnt be able to solder a new led in? Hell i would almost be willing to upgrade to better led diodes in it if i could

i would however contact AquariusPanta on here he is getting a newer COB system and is looking for growers and grow journals his system looks quite nice from the pics and may be more in line with what your wanting and in your cost range. he's a super nice and helpful person.

600w for veg on 4 plants is plenty, you could go down too a 400w comfortably. If energy costs are a factor!!

Flowering is another story.

Sorry i should have stated my grow. Atm i have 2 afghan #1 (freebies from herbies) that im about to throw in fliwer after 1 1/2 months veg. And i have 6 kc brain brains escape 1 paradise delahaze and 2 more afghan #1 that are going. They are all sharing a room atm so im really needing to get the other one going with lighting for veg and turning the closet into the flower. I know ill need more lighting than a 300w led for 9 plants so next month ill get more lighting to add.
