Yes, chopping the done sections of plant first and then leaving the rest to ripen a bit. It does not neccessarily have to be the main cola that gets chopped first. But the foxtails bring on new growth, and that new growth may not be ripe enough to be harvested. So if Stoney does a good job evaluating each cola, or bud site he should be able to chop what is most ripe and let the remaining ripen. Sometimes the remaining will grow more, sometimes only the "ripeness" will change (i.e. trichomes change more, hairs turn and/or recede). I have been reading a lot more people state to chop before amber trichs, and the first sign of amber should be the time to chop. Something about CBN being produced at the amber onward stages which can lead to anxiety.please expain yourself gumball.. you talkin about choppin the cola before lower bud sites??ive seen this done before but the stress the plants recieves must be pretty harsh., id like to think so atleast?? but please further my knowledge homie
I suppose it could be somewhat stressful to the plant. But the fact the plant is about to die may be stressing it too. Think of it like some fruit crops. They dont say 80% is done, harvest it all. They normally harvest the most ripe from the crop and then do a second pass some predetermined time later. Besides, unless you plan to reveg, the stress at this point is irrelevant.
hope this all made sense
