Thursday Night Chop Down!

Flushing really seems like personal preference. I would love to see some concrete proof either way. Scroggers can't do as good a job flushing as the people that can move their plants, but their plants seem to turn out fine. I only flush if my pH is too caustic or acidic. The Kandy Kush was a picky, sensitive bitch last grow and I had to flush her once before flower as my pH was 8.0 and she was not taking in nutrients. Only took one flush and she was fine from then on. This grow with Sleestack and Confidential Cheese, I have had zero problems with anything, but since I am thinking about sticking her in a scrog after I LST for another three weeks, I will probably flush her to get the salts out. Then, I will have fresh substrate for flower. Either way, I think I will be fine.

Last grow was just chernobyl. Same taste as this grows chernobyl.not a bad taste really.but this grow i had chernobyl&domina and they taste simalar.im makin sure this 1 is flushed to compare.

I never thought about how difficult it would be for scrog'ers. it sounds damn near impossible! I only flush my plants when the look sick. it gives me a clean slate to start from. I never flushed them for a harvest. i haven't used nutes for that long but i do know that the last few weeks for a plant is her most vital time. I've been stopping the feeding one week before the harvest, i think I'm gonna get a little closer with that..... i don't want to rob her of the nutes she needs for the final days!!

I gave a blueberry plant a heavy dose of nutes one time just days before a harvest. it tasted fine.... no change at all from the same strain with no nutes at all. i don't feel the need for flushing at harvest.

I may not flush anymore before harvest then stoney thanks man!!

there are very many veteran growers that don't flush... that is what made me experiment.

Has anyone ever used this soil before? I picked a bag up on sale and just tried it on one of my young wonder woman plants today.

Flushing is only required for fixing problems, as you stated Stoney, not for harvesting. Do y'all think vegetable farmers flush their gardens? Mostly not. But it is a good practice to get into weekly to clear out any build-ups in the soil. But it can hurt if done to much or if your trying to have a super soil with no added nutes.

That soil looks pretty nice, aloe vera and yucca sounds not yucca

i water my plants every day alternating nute mix and plain water and the molasses mix on wednesdays, so thats kinda like flushing a couple times a week with the plain water, right? grassy had no problem with a pint and a half a day of whichever and just a little run off. soil does look good.

Dude, That is so awesome a dog named stoney won on 420!!!! and people say there are no such thing as ganja gods, ha!
I have been having a real hard time seeing your races... i formatted my PC and when i loaded everything back on my media player won't play the races. so i tried to download media player from the race link and it tells me i can't install a version older than the one i already have. I'm not sure how to remove just the media player to start over.... if I try to remove it in the windows features it wants to also remove media center, and i don't want to take the risk of losing my recorded TV schedule. It looks like that is my only option though.... maybe I'll work on it again later tonight.



So i have some bad news..... it doesn't look like I have a plant to chop. I should change the name of my thread to "every other Thursday night chop down". Ive taken a bad hit with some plants dieing on me, but i am recovering. I'm gonna do a full photo shoot of all my plants later today..... I'll make sure to get some great bud porn so it's not a total wasted Thursday!!!

yea, it happens. I have only myself to blame. it all comes back to that algae in the spray bottle!!! after having 10 plants in flowering at all times i am now down to five. I feel good about the five i have now but it is getting better and better each week.

Yea I've won quite a few over the last year.... i know i can't win em all so I'll take my loses and move foward with the healthy ones i got. I'll have an update on all of em in a little while....

I fucked up a while back and didn't realize my spray bottle had algae in it, and I sprayed my plants with it and screwed them all up. almost all of them anyway.... I still have at least one plant of every strain healthy so it's a matter of time to build up the rotation. The good news is, I removed my media player and media center, i tried to install media player from MS site and that didn't work so i put them both back on in windows services (it didn't lose my recorded tv, yay!) and now the media player works for the races!!!!!!! not sure why... I disabled it, rebooted, and re-enabled it and it starts working... who knows!! I do know i can watch em tonight!!!

I'll have an update on ALL of my flowering plants in a little while!!!!!

An update on the good, the bad, and the ugly. I have five living plants in the flower box now. I'll start with the ugly, then the bad, and finally the good. so the first pic is of the ugly. she is an ak47 that is looking much better than she was so maybe in a few weeks she will look good...



Ths next two pics are of my blueberry that i revegged and now reflowering. this was the exact same plant from page two of this thread. only now much bigger!!!! she is healing very nicely i have high hopes for her.




Next we have my other ak47. she is the first plant i put the dollar tree hat on. I can't seem to stop her leaves from dying. I've tried flushing her a couple times now. her buds are still growing so i'm not going to worry any more. i give her 2-3 weeks more.





here are a few of my wonder woman. she is about 2-3 weks out at least. her buds are very small yet. but she has nice porn!!






and the last two shots are of my Diesel. i wish she was doing better. i flushed her a couple times and she is still getting yellow on me. according to the calendar she will be ready next week... i am not so sure, i was hoping she would be a little bigger. I'm afraid to give her any nitrogen this late in the game.... i will let her ride it out the way she is going. she smells incredible!!!

top dress the soil with some earth worm castings, or make a tea with the earth worm castings. an experienced grower, cowboylogic, oncetold me that the earth worm castings will put the soil in check, which may fix your problems. some of it looks like mag def, but mag and I think phosphorous have same symptoms. I know you dont use a lot of nutes, unless its the new cha-ching. Tough to say what it may be now. you still foliar feeding? That diesel though, looks like an off the wall problem, zinc or iron or somthing.

They still look good as hell, they will still be a good harvest! I have a couple that got def and/burnt I have been trying to fix, no luck.
