yeah, stoney you can post that pic as many times as you want dude, that thing is gorgeous!

and i'm beginning to be turned on to this no-flushing idea... i'm curious, does the last feeding (tea or molasses, etc) before 72 hour darkness get absorbed in the same way without sun? i just don't know that much about plant metabolism, i know that some nutrients flow back and forth between roots and leaves, and some only go in one direction...?

Interesting thought homer, wish I knew plant metabolism better myself.

Now... Holy blueberry! Is it relatively resilent? if so what breeder did it come from? I am looking for a blueberry but all the blueberry strains I have worked with before were very finicky during flower.

like i said i'm not totally sold on it, but i am experimenting with it. i have a couple friends that grow the same dna. i want to get thier opinion on the taste. but i am very picky when it comes to smoothness, so i will let it cure for at least another week or two.... only 10 days isn't being fair to bud.... i'll report more on this as i get other opinions.

Thank you!! it's my favorite pic of mine.... well except for the bud shot on page two!

the sugar feeding must be at least 12 hours before the dark period. personally i like to time it so the plant is dry about 2-3 days before the dark period, then give it the tea. my timing doesn't always work though haha..... i never like to put them in the dark with wet soil just slightly damp. 3 days later when i take them out i like them to be dry but not wilted and under watered.

the only real reason i can think this makes it taste better is because part of the purpose of a cure is to convert starches to sugars and maybe my technique is providing more sugars to mask the startch..... but honestly, the only reason i do it is because my friends say "dude, your weed always tastes fruiter than mine" i guess i just get stuck in my ways.......

she is extremely resilient. in fact, she is the toughest breed i have. she loves the nutes during flowing. i have never given one nute burn yet. I remember one time i put a 1/8 tsp. of MG in a party cup of water mixed with a 1/2TBSP of FFBB and she took it like a champ. no burn at all! the problem is, she is hard to get. i was in Amsterdam a while back and a friend asked me to get him blueberry seeds. so while i was wandering around damm square i saw a sign that said "seeds" so i walked in and bought a non feminized pack(worst mistake) i then gave them to my friend as a gift. 5-6 years later i started growing and he hooked me up with a plant. good growing karma there! here is the book i got from the company....

Well sonnuva prohibitionist! I don't plan on any amsterdam vacations in the foreseeable future and my friends dutch husband has repeatedly told me he will not buy me seeds when he goes each year to visit his family and ship them back no way no how... Well at the next medical convention I'll have to ask around about the strain, think you very much for being so helpful. I just serve a lot of medical needs and blueberry has exhibited perticular traits in the high (most breeders blueberry at least) that I really want to get hold of and possibly hybridize for chemo patients. Namely with the sativa dominant blueberrys there is some strange correlation with the high and the body's perception of sugar intake therefore causing a FIERCE source of munchies, on the latter side of the coin it is NOT for diabetic patients if the strain has those traits. My hope is to eventually hybridize a current blueberry strain that is resilient with something known to have a strong knockout, not just a couchlock but knockout. The hope would be induce hunger then not long after a quick meal pass out to let the body metabolize the calories. But for now I just want to find another blueberry strain that has the munchy effect for personal use, as my damn BMI is 17.4 at this moment.

I'm interested in why you say that type of plant wouldn't be good for a diabetic? I don't really have any education in the medical side of it at all. and i am very curious about what you said.

That is one purdy looking girl :) I'm interested to see how the no flush works out for you!
I'll keep ya posted on it.... like i said, i wanna give it a fair chance and cure it for at least 2 weeks.

bro, all the colors on that girl, thats awesome!!
Thanks dude!!! hope all is going well with the races.... i had a busy last few days and haven't seen any.... i'll be around on monday though. good luck!

diabetes, hypoglaucemia and a few other disorders are directly related to the bodys abilitys to process sugars. Patients whom already have sugar issues should not focus on strains that are known to cause sugar issues as they can cause false symptoms of too high or low blood sugar and in some patient cases with perticular issues mainly diabetes not so much with hypoglaucemia their medications may have to be used and sometimes are rendered ineffective or at least perceptually ineffective. Honestly with diabetic patients medical marijuana can also aid for those exact reasons but it can be a complicated business with such ailments as you can go from not good to dead pretty quick. I am no doctor I just have worked with patients on and off for years wikipedia could give ya more info I bet.

That is very interesting!! thanks for sharing!! i have looked at some research like you suggested and i had no idea there was so much information available about the subject. I am diabetic but controlled by diet and not any meds..... it still applies to me with the smoke and when i take my blood sugar readings. i don't have to check it often but it's still something for me to think about. I wonder if is affected more for vaping. due to the amount of cannabinoids i inhale. looks like i need to research it more.

I know all of you have heard it over and over but I have to say it again..... don't rush your plants!! I almost made that mistake last week and i am so happy i did not cut down my kush plant. The buds have almost doubled in size in less than a week. the final week of the plants life is very important!! so anyway on to the pics.... here she is at 9-1/2 weeks. BTW the foxtail's are so large now they make the buds look funny!!! and all the bud shots i used a new picture taking method that I'm calling Homervision! it was inspired by the friendly user homer371. i will take all my bud pictures like this from now on! enjoy.......

awesome stuff stoney!! great info on the doubling of the buds. and love those close up shots, but i can't take all the credit for that method. the idea came from another friendly riu'er named micro.grower. you should call it micro-vision! but anyway i'm flattered, thanks dude.

aw i didn't know micro did that... I've seen his stuff. so micro via homervision(MVHV). the first one i took i held the camera away from the glass and the flash showed up... next time i will try it that same way with the flash off. i like the shade of green it has that way. Look at those towers of tails!!!!!!

No matter who thought it up you've started a craze homer :)

Love the detail shots your buds are just fantastic looking, if it weren't for the fact it would take some explaining I'd make one of those bud shots my desktop background they are so pretty.

Stoney you deal with diabetes? well I am glad to hear have gotten you interested in subject of diabetes and it's relation to marijuana. With many ailments I recognize that in some cases there is no other choice but pharmaceutical medications but I very glad to hear yours is kept in check with a bit of discipline, planning and precaution. I honestly just had to give a patient I worked with a "farewell package" and a referal to a less... well another grower who unlike I doesn't help the patients on a non profit basis except for maybe food (hey government a sandwich and a glass of lemonade doesn't corrugate profit from my patients) I do not take a single granule of kif from the patients but this guy does it for (a nominal!) fee simply because I was tired of trying to help the patient when they would not help themselves. Her type 1 diabetes was aggravated horribly by her continued choice of poor diet and not heeding myself and other medical users warnings about the blood sugar effect caused several cases of her having to go to the hospital in the last 6 months.

But the moral of this story is if she had a little bit of discipline her perticular ailments would rule her life much much less. Self medicating takes discipline and often living a healthy lifestyle to help your body naturally aid itself against your ailment whether it is diet exercise or lack of exercise (laying off on the overexertion). If you already have the discipline for a properly balanced diabetic diet (which is no easy task I know I sometimes aid my patients around the home) then I have a optimistic outlook for your future of self medicating. Especially with meds like that hoe dang yummy buds :)

(Speaking of blood sugar mine is too low haven't eat today sorry if any of the aforementioned is a bit nonsensical I had to edit it several times cause I keep getting dizzy and losing my train of though. Time for dinner.)
