Ticks!!!

Tick is the common name for the small arachnids that, along with other mites, constitute the order Acarina. Ticks are ectoparasites (external parasites), living by hematophagy on the blood of mammals, birds, and occasionally reptiles and amphibians. Ticks are important vectors of a number of diseases.

beware, These guys are out in full force already, and can spread limes disease. i had an ex who's mother had it, not a pretty site. i was out in the woods for 2-3 hours yesterday and pulled a dozen or so off, found a few more on me this morning when i woke up, and can feal one crawling up my right thigh as we speak... my fav method of killing them is a piece of gorrila tape, man this stuff works for everything!!!

I hatte the fuckers they invaded my woods we used to never have them here it fucking sucks they are always crawling all over me when i get home

fuckin ticks there around here everywhere in the woods behind my house i went to go check up on myplants and 2 hours later i was on here and i felt one crawling n my shoulder

when your in the woods wear long pants and tuck your pants into your shoes, tuck your shirt in also and you will survive the ticks.

I was infected with Lyme disease a few years ago and would strongly recommend being very careful if your areas have any chance of Lyme disease carrying ticks ...deer ticks are especially infected.
Lyme disease is the sickest I have ever been in my entire life...it truly sucks....

When you return from a tick infested area, do a strip search and check any possible tick hiding areas on your body with a mirror, or have some one do it for you.

IMO, ticks can be more dangerous than most snakes and other woodland creatures.

yeah word, i just checked all over and showered after 5 hours of hiking in the swamp, i was infested, even found one in my crack, lol

Hey Beaner that's a good idea to ALWAYS check....EVERYWHERE....it is tedious, but sure beats getting real sick.
I forgot to mention that juvenile ticks and tick nymphs are TINY... as small as poppy seeds and the nymphs are lighter colored and translucent....
creepy little bastards...The baby ticks can infect you just as easily as the adult ticks
Make sure you check for the babies as well esp. in spring time.

well they drink blood, so they cling to scrub and jump off onto me and the deer and such. with the amount i have found already i am thinking i will have plenty on my plants, that doesn't bother me at all, by mid summer they will be homes to thousands of spiders and grasshoppers and junk, thats just life, hoppers will try and eat the leaves and the spiders will eat them. what i am really worried about are these moths that land on your plant and lay eggs in the stem, after they hatch they are little grubs that eat your buds from the inside out, have had them a few years, you know when you buy a bag that some guy told you was "hydroponic white widow" and you find like three grubs crawling around in there as the bud isn't even fully dry? proof enough that not even the people who smuggle all the outdoor sweet island skunk and mighty mite from canadia know the actuall strain, they just buy as much as they can and move it accross the border. those grubs are proof of outdoor grown bud and it is widely believed by local idiots around here that they are "THC grubs" that they eat pure thc and you should smoke them, that they are stronger than hash. ug people are stupid, and if you believe it then go for it smoke them all, they sell them at baitshops too, go get a bunch of mealworms.lol
