Hey, thanks for the reply and the suggestion.
It's pretty much what I initially intended to do, as per the 3d images on the first pages. However, in practice that was not an option. Flooding the tubes was not my initial plan, I was thinking NFT, so the trays were lower on one end, and the elbows also are rotated so they point slightly downwards.
I would need something in between a T and a Y piece to connect the elbows together because they do not line up horizontally. Since the elbows are glued to the tubes, I can't turn them back without rotating the plant sites. It's definitely what I should have done and would have done if I knew upfront I was going to flood the tubes.
