For example MedPotNow, their menu has 20 strains on it right now, 75% of those are $8.-$10. How is that any different than a LP. Those aren't compassionate prices, if they can offer one strain for $5.50 ( blueberry) why not all strains? How do they justify that? Why is the blueberry cheaper than anything else? Do the other strains cost more to produce? No it's supply and demand not compassion. It's just a business, like an LP. At least with an LP you know that it was grown under GMP, quality controled and tested without the use of pesticides or fungusides. Can the dispenceries make that claim?

Another example there concentrates. Which is usually made from the byproduct of the harvest (shake) It costed me $1-2 a gram to make, but they charge $35-$50 a gram. Real compassionate.

Itsme.
You are correct that on the surface there isn't a whole lot of difference from a dispensary or LP seller. It's business and the goal is to make money. As I've said before a lot of the animosity and distrust aimed at LP's is well deserved and some people will pay MORE to not have to deal with LP's or the government. I don't think your argument that dispensaries over charge is a valid defense for Lp's selling far inferior product for as much or more. The costs of running that business is something the LP needs to address with HC. Instead of fighting the laboratory like growing requirements that are of questionable value, the LP was happy to go along with whatever stupid plan HC came up with. Just as mmar patients are fighting back for what we want, every LP applicant had the same opportunity. It was much easier for them to nod, say "yessir" and stand in line for the gravy train. And there was no lack of arrogance from the wannabe's when they thought they had a captive audience. The vast majority of us don't care that it was grown in a laboratory...There is an abundance of primo Vancouver Island outdoor available now that would rival anything an LP could produce. I challenge you to find something in that that is so dangerous that it should be destroyed or irradiated for my safety. And it's CHEAP! Free for some....:weed:

I understand what you are saying. If you know Rand Paul, I am curious if you think he breaks the mold?
I get the feeling that this cat is different.
I will never be fooled again by these self serving, deep pocket having, fatcats. I can compare this to stepping in prison for the 1st time. Ya, they're nice at first but you're going to get fucked in the end, ALWAYS! Maybe not literally but...

Look up the name 'rand' as in Rand Corporation. Real scary shit!

well Tilray claims that the registration was done online by the referring doc and they have no physical document to send me that I can then take to a dispensary , so SOL on that front. I get the feeling that the referring doc gets kickbacks by partnering up wth LP's, and wouldn't get anything if they partnered with a dispensary. Any chance this is the case?
by mmpr regulation you aren't allowed to register online..only hard copy, original forms for your medical document/reg forms. that sounds off to me.

Tilray does have an online system set up...Philippe wouldn't answer directly on this issue when I asked, but someone down the line did confirm this.

I've always like his father Ron Paul. I think the name Rand ( Randal ) has more to do with one of their favourite authors Ayn Rand and not the Rand Corp.

I know what you're saying...hell I kinda got fooled with Obama.

I don't think that not voting is the solution though.

I think gmack was advocating attempting to kill the mmpr by non-compliance.

Not actually legal, but not enforced. I think one only needs to consider their personal views on choosing to break an unjust law...the possibility of arrest and punishment are remote and wouldn't be a big deterrent.
Please read what Kirk Tousaw, the lawyer handling the cross appeal of the MMAR injunctions recently said about this: http://cannabisdigest.ca/mandatory-minimum-sentences-for-marijuana/

I have attended several talks given by Kirk, and am satisfied I am not at risk. The mandatory minimums are for production for SALES. Those penalties do not apply for personal medical gardens. I have 25 plants growing on a 49 plant license and I'm not selling, I have a clean criminal record...they won't bother wasting their time.

I haven't opened my can of shake yet but they sent me a few free grinders and a free vaporizer as compensation for sending me a completely empty container the first time around! Stay tuned for reviews of everything. Happy medicating!
