You are correct that on the surface there isn't a whole lot of difference from a dispensary or LP seller. It's business and the goal is to make money. As I've said before a lot of the animosity and distrust aimed at LP's is well deserved and some people will pay MORE to not have to deal with LP's or the government. I don't think your argument that dispensaries over charge is a valid defense for Lp's selling far inferior product for as much or more. The costs of running that business is something the LP needs to address with HC. Instead of fighting the laboratory like growing requirements that are of questionable value, the LP was happy to go along with whatever stupid plan HC came up with. Just as mmar patients are fighting back for what we want, every LP applicant had the same opportunity. It was much easier for them to nod, say "yessir" and stand in line for the gravy train. And there was no lack of arrogance from the wannabe's when they thought they had a captive audience. The vast majority of us don't care that it was grown in a laboratory...There is an abundance of primo Vancouver Island outdoor available now that would rival anything an LP could produce. I challenge you to find something in that that is so dangerous that it should be destroyed or irradiated for my safety. And it's CHEAP! Free for some....For example MedPotNow, their menu has 20 strains on it right now, 75% of those are $8.-$10. How is that any different than a LP. Those aren't compassionate prices, if they can offer one strain for $5.50 ( blueberry) why not all strains? How do they justify that? Why is the blueberry cheaper than anything else? Do the other strains cost more to produce? No it's supply and demand not compassion. It's just a business, like an LP. At least with an LP you know that it was grown under GMP, quality controled and tested without the use of pesticides or fungusides. Can the dispenceries make that claim?

Another example there concentrates. Which is usually made from the byproduct of the harvest (shake) It costed me $1-2 a gram to make, but they charge $35-$50 a gram. Real compassionate.
