Hey guys, I'm a newbie but I've been browsing these forums for quite sometime now. I originally planned on wanting to grow indoors, but i recently took a turn and wanted to try outdoors.. One major problem at this point is time. Is it to late in the season for me to start growing?

The only thing I can think is if maybe I veg them for the 12 hours then cover them from the sun for the other twelve then when they are ready to flower just let them catch their natural rays..

where are u located. like what state?

if you do that and cover them your going to force flower the plant, you still have a decent amount of time left to grow outdoors, if you started now your plant would just yeild less because it was started late and didnt get to veg as long. the bigger they get during veg, the more bud your gunna have when they flower, keep in mind they triple size when they flower. so yeah go ahead and start some plants get them out there soon and you dont need to cover them thatd probaly just lessen your yeild even more.

Oh okay, I figured since it would be getting less light it would think its still earlier in the season and veg more.. but I'll give it a shot, either way this is just my first experimental grow so i'll be happy even if i only get one bud out of it :-P

yes u can still plant but they arent going to yeild as much as they normally would. they will be a bit smaller but u can u have time. im in pa and im about to start some eary girl. well there germin now. check out my journal in my sig

It works the other way, dude. You would want to trick them into thinking the days are longer if you wanted them to veg longer, which you can't do.

Plant a bunch of bagseed and see what happens.

Yeah thats exactly what i did actually, I bought some seeds but i figured im not gunna risk wasting them if there not gunna reach maximum (or close to it) potential. My bro planted some bag seeds about three weeks ago and I'm germinating my own right now.. I guess I'll save my seeds til next year or if i decide to put together an indoor grow room

Indoor > Outdoor, Even though i love outdoor, with indoor i never had to worry about anything!

Outdoors is free light (the best spectrum, too) and water. Can require virtually no effort on the grower's part, post-setup. Produces the best bud (ask any cannaseur).

Of course you can argue the other side of the coin, as far as reliability goes, indoor can't be beat. But with proper precautions and patience, outdoor growing can be one of the most rewarding things you can do.

How large does the NL strain tend to get if grown outdoors and is 5 weeks old in the ground? On average per say.bongsmilie

That's why you don't use 'plots'. If you can find any of my dozen plants spaced out, one here and one there, in the thickest, nastiest, shit I can crawl in, then help yourself. On foot or in the air.

Okay. So in your other post you meant to say "For me, in my particular geographic area and living situation, the convenience of growing indoor > than that of growing outdoor." Instead of, "Indoor > Outdoor." I gotcha. ;)
