Time to get out?

Call me paranoid, but I'm starting to question the wisdom of sticking with the MMJ business in Colorado. Clearly, Suthers is not at all our friend. Now that the Feds are showing renewed interest in busting people who serve patients, you have to wonder how long this "freedom" will last. Let's be real, the Supreme Court has ruled that the Feds can stomp on State rights (see Gonzales vs. Raich). We have an AG that is totally anti-MMJ. If push comes to shove, Suthers will throw us all under the bus as fast as he can.

BTW - I'm only a caregiver/patient. I've already decided it's not worth continuing with the caregiver designation. I'm considering just getting my doctor recommendation and skipping the whole registry process. These are starting to feel like times where underground is safer than sticking your head into the line of fire. Barry will not help us. He only said what he said. "When I was a kid, I inhaled frequently. That was the point." to get elected...

I totally agree. I;m in Michigan, and yes, it's "legal" under certain circumstances, except-Nobody has legislated what those circumstances are. I'ts a giant mess, and it's clear thast it won't be cleared up any time soon. Why make it easier for cops to get to you-a registry-no thanks.

No, it's time to man up and fight. When you run they win.

Recall Suthers for working against the will of the Colorado citizens !

so, whats the difference between being in the "registry" and having a doctors recommendation?

having any doctor write you a note will protect you understate rules? is there a plant limit for you then?

Having a red card from the health department will grant you an exception to the marijuana laws in CO if you stay within their allotted numbers.
An exception grants you a walk from a law enforcement encounter.

Just a doctors note will only allow an affirmative defense. That means you have to go to court to defend yourself. Felony cultivation is expensive.
If you are talking ONLY possession, then it is a petty offense in CO anyways for under 2oz. you get a $100 ticket
