good day riu! hope all is well
My 4 lil babies are 36 days old, cfls, soil, occasional ff grow big.
pH is the problem i think... the three smaller ones have yellow bottom leaves. but look good other than that... I watered and fert two days ago.. the yellow seems to have stopped spreading but the bottom leave are just crumbling away.. ahhh!! pH was about 7 and the water was 5.8-6.0 in pH
The odd thing is that the biggest one has the least amount to light (5 cfls, 2 being 2500k and 14w, 3 being 5000k and 25w) and has ZERO problems with discoloration... ALL have the same soil and water/fert schedule.. Oh, and for learning purposes I transplanted from seedlings to:
the 3 problem childs are living in about 2-3 gal pots
the big baby that is problem free was initially the weakest link so I put it straight into a 5gal pot from seedling.
(I water the 5gal less frequently than the smaller ones)
My pH meter may just be shitty tho, it was about $10 from lowes.
I say this bc all the soils read pH 7+ and the big baby in the 5gal pot reads a pH of a rather BASIC 7.5- almost 8!!!?
SO, If its not pH then I dunno wtf the problem in with the lil bushy babes..
All the soil is mg, added perlite, and vermiculite
DO you pros here on this glorious website suggest that I transplant the lil guys into 5gal pots and start flowering soon?
my room is 4x4x6 with 6 being the apex, but its an attic grow so the top slants down from 6 feet to about 2.5-3 feet.
In preparation for transplant I created a new soil mix, and is as follows:
1) NEW bag of SOIL MIX
This soil is a pre mix soil and is the 52 mix from Fafard
--It is a mix of soil (birch i think), small portions of: vermiculite, sphagnum peat moss, and perlite.
-- this makes up ABOUT HALF OF THE TOTAL mix i made, probably slighlty less than half
2) I then added more peat moss.. 1/4 of total mix
3) Also added to the mix, 2 quarts bag of perlite, a good deal more vermiculite, some dolomite lime, and some epsom salt(about 1/2 cup)
OH, and I got real lifted the other night and just for the hell of it added a double portion FF tiger bloom to 1 quart water and sprayed it in the new soil while mixing the whole time... DUNNO IF THAT WAS A GOOD CALL??
whatcha think?
should I add anything else to the new soil
so... yea.. thats all I can think of for this thread..
Sorry about the lenngthy text but I know some pros really do read it all!! tryna be as informative as I can...
THANKS for the help in advance and may whatever believe in bless you for the tips/rips!!!
