Timer help

hey i bought this timer http://images.bizrate.com/resize?sq=500&uid=2288951334 and it will not fucking turn on to save my life can anyone tell me why the fuck it never fucking turns on. literally 3 days in a row its soposed to turn off at midnight and on at 6am but it never does however im not sure if it turns off cause i always have to rehook shit up in the night cycle. this is startign to piss me off the timer was fuckin 12 bucks and doesnt work for shit

What are you trying to use the timer with? Cheap timers do not tend to work well with even something as small as a 400w hps, ya gotta find one with a built in contactor, or buy a separate contactor.

has it not got a switch on the side to change it from timer to being on constent? and the dial should turn, its like a clock so you should be able to tell the time on it

lol it must be broke it should def turn like a clock, so if you ever have a power cut you can reset it to the proper time again, i check my timer every day just incase theres been a power cut through the night,

p.s if you plug it into the socket and put your ear close you should be able to hear it ticking aswell

Just to be clear...when you set the switch to "Outlet on" -with your light plugged in to the timer - the light doesn't turn on?

The "outlet on" switch should act as a bypass...if the light doesn't turn on in this position, then the timer's def faulty.

the by pass works just not the timer just going to go lowese before work in a minute. and robsterb my whole family is this way; thats why we buy like 2 car batteries a year.
