Timing the flush period

Ok so I am approaching late flowering od Mendo purps and a few others. Everyone says mendo will finish first of all the strains in the flower room. It says its a 7-8 week strain .....I have my trusty 60x100 lighted microscope from radioshack and I see some clear and some milky trichromes. Should I have alreays started flushing with water if I am seeing this? Can they finish early sometimes? I still have 2 weeks till its 7 weeks....I was gonna start to flush with 1 week left.

Does this sound right for the final flush?

Take plant to rubermade tub and flush about 5 gallons through the 5 gallon pot of soil/rootball till its mostly clear comming out. Then just water with clear phed water for the durration of the grow till harvest?

Thanks for the help kiss-ass

I'd personally wait till you see a few ambers then flush, but some people say cloudy is the perfect time so you CAN flush now - also when you flush you wanna do it with 2 or 3 times as much water as there is soil...so I'd do 10-12 gallons the first time (should run clear at least as long as it runs yellowish brown), then 3-5 days later I'd run 6-7 gallons through - once dry again it should be ready for chop...

Some people may correct me if I'm wrong but thats what I'm doing this time around...should take about 2 weeks if done like that I think.

Does the leaves always turn yellow? I see the undersides of the fan leaves turning slightly purple. I would think that as long as I am still hitting them with bloom nutes then the leaves should stay in pretty good shape while haveing everything they need to stay that way.

I have read that its good to give your plants a good soaking flush once durring a grow but I would think thats only if they had not been fed/watered properly durring the rest of the grow. I myself like to water/feed until I get an inch of water in the trey under the pot then let the plant drink back up the runnoff overnight. This way EVERY inch of soil has gotten saturated and has a chance to wash away any builtup salts in the soil. As long as the water has evaporated/drank back up within 24 hours. I do let my soil get pretty darn dry between watering...seems to get the best growth while they are just wanting to be watered but not yet asking for water.

Just checked my plants and they've wilted like hell overnight - starting to get a few yellows now, so I just gave them a little bit of water to hopefully sort them out a bit, I DO wanna harvest on friday though so I'm not gonna go too crazy on the watering at this point as I've flushed them twice already...the rox in particular is looking more yellow at the bottom so I'm assuming some of the yellowing is the maturation and not just malnutrition
