never heard of that. get a dimmable ballast and/or get a decent cool tube with a high velocity in line fan with a speed controller. i only grow this way as this way i can regulate my temps much easier depending on what season and how hot or cold it gets. where i am we been having -15F last week at night. sure wish i had 1000s instead of 600s. also if your room is getting too hot and it's cold out where you live now then you should put an inline fan on a temp controller ducting to outside. gotta love free ac. i dont know for sure but i imagine it would greatly effect the light quality depending on how strong the tint. im sure you would be getting less lumens. can you raise the light more or bend the plants away from it more?

thanx
i don't have height problem its over 6 feet, but i wanted to put the light closer for better results , but the 1000 is extremely hot you won't believe it can easily burn your plant in hours if it grows over a night and forget to raise the light , the tint is the same i use for my car it really protects inside the car from heat in summer "around 120f 50c" and flitters ultraviolet and infrared , i guess it would remove some good stuff from the light . so guess your technique is the best but its not available in my country sadly i'll have to customise and build my own
cheers

whoa 120f that is a freaking hot summer. i'd be running a chiller system indoors with that kind of weather. must cost a small fortune to run ac i imagine. maybe run a fan blowing directly at the light. might help push some of that heat away. im lucky im in america close to canada but our winter get fucking cold on some days.

what isnt available in your country and what country?

when i go to europe every house and room got a heater, in our case we don't live without A/C's its a must have.
everything related to ganja growing isn't available , people here don't know what hydroponic is yet, i mean we don't have the cooling tube for light , we don't even have light for growing, i go to industrial shop and buy a road lamp "hps" and make my own reflector , everything i have to do on my own here which sucks, i can't order nutes or light systems the shipping would be more expensive than the products it self,

wow never heard of that place until now. i think i would switch to outdoors in that climate. i imagine indoors is a huge challenge with those temps. you could switch to CFL lights instead of the HPS. normally i would say your yields will really suffer, but with temps those high i dunno it might actually be the way to go indoors for that area. otherwise ive always been against CFLs except for supplemental lighting or small veg areas.
