if they look like what youve drawn in yr pic then yes they are yr first preflowers, they typically show at around 4-5weeks into veg.
But are they male or too soon to tell?

Your previous post makes a lot of sense. I will be taking your advice and I'm not going to feed them until flowering. I think they will need the be re potted into 5 gallon before flowering and a few weeks. You said to not feed the plants until they ask to be feed. Being a first time grower I don't speak plant, what are the signs to look for when they are asking to be feed. Also what are signs of them needing a bigger pot? I've just been going by the 1 foot per gallon suggestion.

i cant see the pic too well but if the preflowers look like what youve drawn then your plant is almost certainly female. if your plant ever starts to look pale or you get some yellowing lower down then 9 times out of ten your plant is hungry if you havnt fed already, when you have plenty of roots showing at the pots drainage holes then your plant can be repotted, you dont have to do it straight away but use that as a guide, i pot up three times during veg over 8wks, i start my germed seedlings in a 1ltr pot of 50/50 perlite/soil to dilute the soil somewhat, most pre-fert soils are too strong for seedlings, altho iv got away with starting straight off with neat soil in the past and no probs, then when theyv rooted out the 1ltr pots i pot up into 6.5ltr pots of neat soil, then a week before 12/12 i pot up into 10ltr pots then start feeding a week into bloom, just do all your potting up before flower, you dont want transplant stress slowing things down in bloom.

Very valuable information. +rep When do you think I should start flowering? I'm currently at 31 days from seed. My tallest plant is pushing 18 inches or 46 cm. My max height is 4 feet or 122 cm.

You wana flower that girl any time now, they double-triple their veg`d height in the first few weeks of 12/12. i can go up to about 6` so i flower at around 2` or when theyve rooted out their final pot size so your getting max bud for the size of your pot.
