There is always a different view. I had my sprinkler on every day until October. I have done this for last two seasons and have had no bud rot to mention. My nightmare was Lantern Flies.
I am upgrading to a drip system only because the plants at furthest distance didn't get enough water, the 14 foot tall one cut off water to lower plants. I plant on a tiered slope. I still have a few more buds to harvest.
