Pulling air is best if you can set it up that way? ( filter/ light/ light/ fan -> out )
That's how I have it on my first set up,, but I've see
Stick around for a minute and you'll hear differently my friend, good luck!
What about smell,, the way I put it,, if my hoods aren't completely air tight my stank would blow outside. The inline fan pulling,, if I'm pushing air thru & it leaks won't it be re-filtered?

Downside to pulling the air is any leaks in the hoods will bypass the filter.

I have seen it done both ways, push and pull. I think it's up to the grower to decide personally.
I would like no smell coming out,, I was told to put a additional filter inside my tent also to scrub that air.. Would that work?

I was told to run a filter outside my tent hooked to my lights then exhausted,, then put a fan & filter to scrub inside of tent & that would resolve most my issues??

A scrubber is an excellent way to reduce odor inside the tent while providing the added benefit of circulating air in the tent.

I use scrubbers in my rooms and I can hardly smell the weed while standing in the rooms. I'd say it cuts the odor down by 80% at least. Whatever is left the exhaust filter can handle pretty easy.

Well if you do it like that with the exhaust filter not drawing from inside the tent you won't be pulling any fresh air through the tent to help with cooling the tent and bringing in fresh air. Are you planning to run sealed with CO2?

Most common setup is the exhaust filter inside the tent, passive intakes low on the tent to let fresh air in to replace the air exhausted. Passive intake area should be at least 2x the area of the exhaust.

You can put the scrubber in there and turn it on when the plants start to smell so much that they overwhelm the exhaust filter.

Theres only two ways that I can think of, blower before or after the lights. I don't see why anyone would want it between the lights.

Do you have two exhaust fans? Sometimes people will cool their lights using one fan which pulls air from outside the tent through the lights and then back outside the tent with no filter. A second fan is used to suck air from inside the tent, through a carbon filter, and exhaust it outside the tent while using passive intakes.

No I only have 1 exhaust fan,, I was gonna probably run it like that,, having my ventalation separate,, & a filter inside the tent running

Anyone ever run the filter outside the room with this setup: INSIDE ROOM: air cooled hood (open on one side with dust cap and possibly an elbow facing upward) =>in-line fan => OUTSIDE ROOM carbon filter
