I was actually able to get it to 40-48% inside the tent by drawing air from outside.

Yep and with spray bottles you're good. From far west Texas and southern New Mexico. I know what you're facing. Wintertime is when you might actually need humidification. Caution on the warm ones - not only heat but they love to grow slime molds you can do without having around ..
