what kind of lights? cfls keep at an inch or 2
you wont know the sex until they show preflowers or until they are put into flowering
good luck.

well it all depends on how fast your plants will show they sex.
It's usually in the 3rd-4th week in veg or sometimes only until 12/12
2in is best for the lights like jolly said

Sorry to be BLUNT. But before you need to worry about the sex you need to worry about how to get the cuttings/seedlings to the flowering stage. So for now I suggest you forget about how to sex and worry about how to veg a plant. You have enough to worry about.

Many Oppologies,
First you need to tell us what kind of lights you are useing. If these are fresh new seedlings, just use a T-5 light about 16 inches about and move it down, and then upgrade.

wish i could be of more help, but keep cfls as close to the plant as possible, more light the better. as for sex, the pics got you covered, just work on keeping the plant healthy. somebody once said something about separating with plastic film dividers, as to its effectiveness...not proven.

PLASTIC FILM DIVIDERS!!!!!!! No way in $&^&$^@%%$& HELL that would ever keep a male from pollinateing a female. You would have to build mini clean rooms.

You need to move them to the next zip code....lol
Amien Brother. But you could build a little mini clean room to hold a male or two in. BUT HOLY SHEET!!! Could you imagine the cost?? And how about the pain in the ass it would be. You whole life would be devoted to this mini clean room. :o
