First timer here. I have a real jimmy rigged set up. I currently have four babies set up underneath 1x 100watt hps, 12x dangling 13wcfl's and on each side is 2 four foot t8 flourescents. the cfl's are a mix of natural light (the more blueish) and soft white. They are 12 days from sprouting out of the dirt and 16 from the start of germinating2012-06-05 22.27.28.jpg2012-06-05 22.27.35.jpg2012-06-05 22.28.13.jpg. I think I am just impatient, they are looking nice, but I am wondering when they will start growing taller. The ones I am interested in are a indica/sativa blend. Its a strain known as "carmelicious." I just want them to hurry up and grow so that I can start flowering, but I know I want them to get more mature before I start. I keep 24 hours of light on them right now, and have since they popped out of the soil. Does it affect them to change to 18/6 at this point or should I just keep at 24 until I switch to 12/12

You will never get any really impressive growth with CFLs and definitely won't be breaking any yield records. I'd suggest scrapping the T8s and the CFLs and get a 4ft, 4bulb HO T5. You can get a decent one for under $100 used. Just my 2 cents.

IMO 18/6 is fine, I figure that all plants in nature take a siesta for a few hours, it wouldnt hurt my plants.
You are being impatient, relax, growing is about the journey to good cannabis and growing is a marathon and not a sprint, unless you grow autos.
Plants grow on their own schedule, some mature really fast and some take their time.

sorry whats "IMO" I just want to make sure that going from 24/0 to 18/6 doesnt fool them to think about flowering. I wouldnt mind giving them the night time, its just they have had 24/0 the whole time this far.
